City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

I wish BT sport didn't insist on saying Liverpool had a wrongfully disallowed goal, takes the piss ever so slightly.

Officials were terrible for both teams.

Great win for us, as big an understatement as that is. Ridiculous how tight the table is, Liverpool were top 24 hours ago, now they're fourth.

i hope they dont mean when Striling was in. How do they know he would have scored?? Joe could have stoned him and the turf monster could have gotten him.....

Doubly ironic that Liverpool fans are moaning that they were robbed. How many penalties did Skrtel concede that weren't given ? They can't bleat about the ref and completely ignore the fact that they should have been down to ten men. You'll need a strong stomach if you plan on reading rawk.

Toughest game we've played for a long while. Liverpool made it really difficult for us and caused us a lot of problems when they had the ball. We had to show a lot of grit and character and played well enough in patches to secure the win. The main difference was the performance of the 2 goalkeepers. Ours was excellent, theirs clearly at fault for the winning goal. Komps and Lescott looked tough to beat and gave us much more security than Dimichelis has showed recently. Thought Kolarov did well and Zabba got stronger as the game went on. Fernandinho again superb. It didn't really happen for any of Silva, Nasri or Toure and the Beast was superb in hold up and leading the line although he should have added to the goal he did score.
Big win for us and we move on and keep the momentum going.

Great 3 points for us. Pool were unlucky and are the best team in the league to visit Manchester this season. Vinny was awesome today.

Good grief - need a stiff drink or ten after that. Well done, Blue boys! Both tonight and in getting almost 100% of the points since Sunderland when we were on pace for something like 62 total on the season. (Gotten 19/21 since then, I think).

Very, very good side those dippers. I do hate the filthy diving cannibal and those thieving bastards in general but much rather would want them in the UCL than the shite put on display the other day by Arse and the Chavs.

Credit to Pellers for getting Joe Hart back in at #1 when he did, too.

Fucking love it when we beat the scousers. Especially when we don't deserve to. Fucking love it. I'd support Manchester over Liverpool in any contest, any time - yes, even united. I'm a Mancunian. And I enjoy Guinness.

Admittedly I'm an out of towner, but I wouldn't want those bastards to beat anyone.......

I know what you're saying mate, and I used to dislike them above all others. But the truth I've come to realise is that I really can't stand Ricky Gervais and his scousers or Wenger and his "financial doping", or Jose (who I rate as a manager) and those godawful Chelsea hoolies.
If truthbe told, my dream table would have City 1st & united 2nd every time, and us defeating them in every cup final. Manchester, is wonderful.

Great win for City. Thought we deserved the win and it was just a case of ensuring we saw the game through when we went 2-1 up.

Great response to going a goal down.

Liverpool were good but not great. Didn't realise that their offside goal was wrongly ruled out, but City had stopped playing. As others have said officials let Skrtel and Suarez get away with an awful lot. Every corner Skrtel was grabbing a handful of a City's players shirt. It's hard to spot, but everyone knows that he does this, so they should be on the look out for it. If I can see it from the back of the stand, why can't the officials?

Hope Negredo is not injured?

Navas, and Kompany were outstanding today. Everyone had a good game I thought

I was impressed with Liverpool, but I think they are a little bit short of Arsenal and Chelsea

Completely agree, us at the top of the Prem and them second in the conference.
