City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Good grief - need a stiff drink or ten after that. Well done, Blue boys! Both tonight and in getting almost 100% of the points since Sunderland when we were on pace for something like 62 total on the season. (Gotten 19/21 since then, I think).

Very, very good side those dippers. I do hate the filthy diving cannibal and those thieving bastards in general but much rather would want them in the UCL than the shite put on display the other day by Arse and the Chavs.

Credit to Pellers for getting Joe Hart back in at #1 when he did, too.
I actually believe this was a measured tactic...Joe with everything to prove in our toughest test at home domestically so far....the engineer strikes!!

I thought it was a great game and that Liverpool were very good offensively but poor defensively.

We weren't at our brilliant best but some of the football was sublime at times.

I do think that we miss Aguero a bit and we are sloppy at the back at times. Especially Lescott who was clearly out of his depth when marking Suarez.

Hart was back to his best today and maybe dropping him was the kick up the arse he needed.

As for Suarez not playing well? He is a niggly fucker and a diving twat but I thought he was excellent at times. He works as hard as Aguero and has that touch of a world class player. Liverpool are lucky to have him.

We are rockin and rollin now! Watch out Wenger we are coming to get you!

Good point - I kind of figured he'd get Joe back by the Arse/dipper fixtures. Plan might have changed if Hart had fallen on his face in the League Cup or whatnot. But yes, good point about getting him back out with something to prove at just the right time.

Now for those 10 drinks! I need them badly!

Liverpool's defenders kept giving the ball away at the back, and we really should have got a third

Great win inspite of probably the single worst refereeing display in the history of the game.

No surprise dippers are whingeing let's face it they're only taking a lead from their manager and captain who complained about every single decision. Can't remember a manager trying to bully a referee like that since the gpc shuffled away.

Don't hear them mentioning the two penalties skirting board should have given away

Fucking love it when we beat the scousers. Especially when we don't deserve to. Fucking love it. I'd support Manchester over Liverpool in any contest, any time - yes, even united. I'm a Mancunian. And I enjoy Guinness.

Admittedly I'm an out of towner, but I wouldn't want those bastards to beat anyone.......

I know what you're saying mate, and I used to dislike them above all others. But the truth I've come to realise is that I really can't stand Ricky Gervais and his scousers or Wenger and his "financial doping", or Jose (who I rate as a manager) and those godawful Chelsea hoolies.
If truthbe told, my dream table would have City 1st & united 2nd every time, and us defeating them in every cup final. Manchester, is wonderful.

Excellent! You can pick up one of those friendship scarves at the next derby then...

Toughest game we've played for a long while. Liverpool made it really difficult for us and caused us a lot of problems when they had the ball. We had to show a lot of grit and character and played well enough in patches to secure the win. The main difference was the performance of the 2 goalkeepers. Ours was excellent, theirs clearly at fault for the winning goal. Komps and Lescott looked tough to beat and gave us much more security than Dimichelis has showed recently. Thought Kolarov did well and Zabba got stronger as the game went on. Fernandinho again superb. It didn't really happen for any of Silva, Nasri or Toure and the Beast was superb in hold up and leading the line although he should have added to the goal he did score.
Big win for us and we move on and keep the momentum going.
What should Mig have done? Leave it? He was unlucky. Not at fault.

Thought City would have gone on and scored a 2nd even if Mig had saved it or left it
