City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Quinn on talksh*t still banging on about the "penalty" for Suarez and conveniently overlooking Skirtl's attempts to remove Vinny's shirt all night long .
It's all a bit sad and bitter and does them no credit after such a cracking game.

does stering miscontrol and get a touch after going round hart? are both players behid hart ? cant keep up with the offside rule

I thought he was but " a player is in an offside position if he is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent"
When Sterling touches the ball to Coutinho the scorer is in an offside position. In fairness to the ref and linesman it was difficult to spot BUT if you slow down the video it's OFFSIDE.

With the offside decision, I was twice the distance from the referee that Stirling was and I clearly heard the whistle some seconds before he petulantly put it in the net. So did the rest of the North and East stands who visibly relaxed as did our defence. Stirling created the controversy by taking the then dead ball on and 'scoring'. Yes he was onside at the relevant time but how many has Negredo had chalked off this season for wrong off sides? Stirling should have been booked.

Lescott did pull Suarez' shirt but Suarez's reaction was blatant cheating, and besides Skirtel did exactly the same to Kompany, the difference being that Vincent didn't cheat, he just put the ball in the net, because that's how we roll.

Rodgers' comments about Mason being from Greater Manchester are a joke, a bitter, Mard arsed self pitying joke and the FA should throw the book at him.

To paraphrase Gladiator "some people should realise when they've been conquered".

He wasn't. He was behind Sterling when the ball was touched so cannot be offside.

Game was own when Suarez stopped playing and started looking for pen.

Speaks volumes that a defence with lescott in kept him from scoring. Hope nasty is fully fit for reverse fixture.

It will get people ringing in to say exactly what you've just said, which is all they care about sadly.
