City v Liverpool - Post Match Thread

True we were winning and had been more clinical but they were getting a lot of joy down our left hand side. Ederson made a vital save a couple of minutes earlier. After the sending off the threat was totally none existent and we really kicked on. Great performance overall.
You're right about them having the best of it before we scored, but you gotta put the ball in the net when you're on top.

Great performance but I do worry about Otamendi. When Kompany is not there he looks slow, rash and all over the place.
He was awful until we had control of the game.

Have to say, normally I'm a big critic of Fernandinho but today we saw the old Dinho in there. Even though it was against 10 he was class. All 3 of our full backs as well look to have have been brilliant buys. Danilo who was meant to be awful at Real looks to have discovered his Porto form with us. Mendy was a bit dodgy at the start defensively but he's got a monster of a cross on him hehe.

Who the fuck is that utter Muppet of a so called city fan who has just been on 606?? If you are on here fuck off to the swamp if you are a blue which I doubt! Muttering on like some half wit about it was an orange card, Mane was distraught that's why he didn't leave the pitch straight away, then finishing with we were calling the dippers murderer's and shouting about Hillsborough. When asked did that really happen he very angrily shouted YES! I doubt he was even at the fucking game the utter plank!

Apparently, it's the first time in 80 years that we stuck 5 past the candle wavers. @oakiecokie, @Dave Ewing's Back 'eader and @Vienna_70 were probably there!

Oi! You cheeky bugger!

I'm old, but not that old.

My dad wasn't even born for another three months after that.

Brilliant from City today and for those who say that the red card altered the game, I say bollocks! We were already leading and controlling the match. I can't see how Klippety can complain about the red; it was clearly reckless and dangerous. Eddie is lucky that he wasn't badly injured.

Several outstanding performances, especially Stones, Mendy and Agüero, but my MotM was de Bruyne, who was fantastic throughout. His assists for the first two goals showed what a wonderful player he is.

Very selfless by Sergio for Gabriel's second. Kun could easily have taken the shot himself and would probably have scored, but as is the Pep way, he laid the ball off to a better-placed teammate.

It was great to see Eli get some game time. I thought I'd seen the last of him in a City shirt and it was right to take Nico off, considering he'd received a yellow card and had travelled back from international duty.

Finally, well done to the Liverpool fans, who stayed till the end to support their team.

Not.
