City supporters were well outnumbered by Chelsea fans (mostly bandwagon) at last year's match at Yankee Stadium, expect the same with the Scouse this time. But maybe the MCFC promotions people will get their act together and give out thousands of free City shirts the way Chelsea did with theirs.

I remember; we were heavily outnumbered on the day. I seem to think it was scarves that Chelski were giving away though, not shirts? They all had Chelsea scarves as I recall.

Could be wrong though; I had a few that day...

Either way, enjoy it. I will be out of the country unfortunately.

I think it was flags they gave out.

Yep; right you are. It was flags...;)

is it true we have to hand over the premiership trophy if they win this game , a bit like when we were kids and your team was winning 10-1 , then some smart arse would shout "next goal wins".

Good way to see how much City's popularity changed.

We are long way behind United but thats not a surprise, they play games ahead of 80.000 people vs Galaxy, also tonight vs Roma maybe(?), rumours about over 100k tickets sold for United vs Real friendly.

Wonder what will be a City-Pool game compared to that, or City-Milan. Well on one other game in our group of this friendly tournament Olympiacos-Milan there was about 10-12k in the stands.

City-Olympiakos could be similar but expect lot bigger numbers vs Pool. (Majority will be Pool tho.)

Great job at the NYC fan fest by the Club, clinics, games, photo ops and free food. Well done.
Was hoping some folks from the club would be there but it was a very good event for kids. Was a real bastard to find the place though if you weren't a local.

Would have REALLY REALLY REALLY loved to be there for ANY of this but nothing gets posted on the OS, there's no heads up, and instead I have to watch the highlights of my club and their trophies galavanting around the North Jersey/NYC area on Instagram hours after it happens. Did they not think that some fans from the area would have loved to make a few hours trip had we known the relevant details ahead of time? I knew they were making a "quick stop" in New Jersey, so thanks OS, that was super helpful. I could have dealt with missing the little "kit launch" thing, but a fan fest? Really would have enjoyed that. Ugh. At least I'll be at the match on Wednesday.

Poor job by the club. It's the information age, let's have some information.

Anyway, if anyone finds out about anything else that's going to happen in the NYC area either before or after the dippers match on Wednesday, please post in here.

Well some reports says Mu-Roma was around 55.000...

Btw I looked at the schedule of this tournament and there are two groups with four teams (City, Milan, Pool, Olympiakos) ans (Real, Mu, As Roma, Inter) and the two group winners will meet again on 5th of August just 5 days before Arsenal game in Wembley.

Easily could be a derby...

I we fetching our trophies to the Dipper game? Here's what you could have won and all that.
