City v Liverpool. Yankee Stadium July 30th

I hope those of you going to the match have a great night and get to see us show Rodgers what progress really looks like.
Shame you will have to probably drink piss water for beer at the stadium but you can't have it all eh :-D
That reminds me, not seen Kun Aguero post in a while, hope he is ok.

Anyway i digress, i want us to put a marker down for the scousers and hopefully extinguish a few candles with a damned good thrashing...

If we beat Pool tonight there is a huge chance it will be City-MU in the final.
We would be nearly sure to top the group (unless a loss to Olympiakos in last round) while they also seems like finish top.

Btw a win is 3 points, loss is 0 p., if its a draw it goes to pens instantly, if you win it then its 2 points, if you lose on pens its still 1 point.

Whilst I really want to win the tournament I wouldn't want to play United in the final, it just doesn't feel right having a derby in pre season and in another country.

Whoever wins tonight will get to the final for me although Olympiacos have been a surprise in the tournament so you never know what they could do to us, however with Liverpool looking ahead of us fitness wise with them playing close to a full strength team this week and with us only having a selection of first team players back at the weekend I can see us struggling a bit tonight, maybe not going forward but defensively.

According to bib theory line-up tomorrow is: Kelly, Coates, Toure, Enrique, Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Coutinho, Sturridge, Lambert; diamond

I think overall it will be stronger than our starting XI but we will see.

It's our defence that is weak more than anything right now. Any Boyata/Rekik/Denayer combination against Coutinho and Sturridge could turn ugly. A lot of inexperience.

the wankfest if the Dippers get a result will be unbearable to the start of the season. Although it's pre-season I'd love us to put them in their place and really send a message as champions that no-one's going to mess with us this season.

To be fair if they win I would prefer people to write us off and big them up. Last year it was all about Pool, Arsenal and Chelsea (helped due to games in hand we had) and we just quietly went about our business and the rest is history.
Tonight- City win= No one from city making any fuss as its only a friendly. Nothing on SSN, small header on BBC with a 1 paragraph report, quoting the Sterling offside goal.
Pool Win= Fans gloating, we will win the league, who needs Saurez, Rodgers mentioning money when talking about us, this is our year, headline on SSN, big report on BBC site.

You forgot the intense glare of thousands of lit candles on Murkyside. They'll be visible from space.

I've heard diamond is the next big thing, be interesting to see how he plays.

Sorry, OS says 19:00 kick off BST.

No it doesn't it says 19:00 EST

Its midnight on Sky sports GMT

Ees almost correct. 7pm local New York time, being pedantic (it's what I do) DST, not EST, being Daylight Savings Time. It's correct to say EST is GMT plus 5 hours but also true that UK is not on GMT right now (telled yer I were a pedant)

EST is GMT - 5 hours, not + 5 hours!

They must be confident, not bothering with a GK
