Just back in now. Absolutely delighted with the start under Pelligrini. Dzeko looks like a different player and deserved a goal. Navas offers exactly what we lacked last year. Fingers crossed for Kompany. Silva, Fernandinho class acts. Glad that Nasri scored. Marriner is a twat. Roll on Cardiff!

Oh wow! Fkn AWESOME! First game of the season, we looked so good, players clicked very well, I just loved the way we were full of energy! Hats off to MP, I think we are a different team now and we will improve lots in coming months. Can´t wait to see Jovetic and Negredo playing 90 minutes, I think with Navas crossing, they will score lots of goals.

Dzeko needs to score, otherwise his performance was massive!

Come on CITY, I can´t wait till our next game!

I could've wept watching that performance tonight. A team liberated.

Know it's early doors, but be interested to know what those who grumbled about this summer's transfer business thought of Navas and Fernandinho in particular.

Also, we seemed to play the much worried about high defensive line and kept a clean sheet. I'm sure someone told me it was never gonna work in this league!
 
Liquid football. Those of us who bigged up Pellegrini when he was being trashed for winning no trophies before knew this was coming though... he is an awesome manager whose teams will give you your money's worth. Very excited for this season, a little apprehensive with Vinny injured though as he is the rock who keeps the defence composed. Think we'll do some business this week.

Fernandinho the overpriced £30million midfielder... haha. He will boss the league, and Navas is just going to tear defenders apart.

Difficult to complainthought Navas was excellent and Fernandinho looked pretty good - really pleased with Nasri though when he came in his work rate was excellent hpefully we now have the player we thought we bought

Whats clear is that teams are going to press us high and try and pinch the ball or make City kick it long almost worked a few times but its the first game of the season and a happy bunny

Pissed with Vinny any news?
