City V PSG ticket Prices: Club Statement

Truth is because we've had a few bad months most on here are spitting their dummies out. The stadiums haven't been full due to our poor performances under MP not ticket pricing an I'm sure when Pep arrives most of the moaners on here will suddenly find that extra few quid.

Be very careful what you wish for when critising our owners as you may just end up with the £20 ticket prices you all want in Division 2.

You would think you couldn't spout any more rubbish in one night but you have managed it!

I personally think this isn't an issue over one game, its an issue that if you want to attend most games, it'll cost you a lot of money for doing so. The frustration stems from the level of money coming into the league, the fees that are being paid for players, the money players are getting in wages and the fans are getting fleeced, when there isn't necessarily a reason for it.

Liverpool fans to their credit made a stand a few weeks ago and i think that's encouraged other fans to reflect on how much of their income is going on match-tickets before even taking into account travel & food/drink on the day.

We've longed for reasonable ticket prices for years and i just think its come to a head recently, not just with us but other fans too.

I can't imagine the Sheikh knows much about it, so this isn't being targeted at the owner, but the department that is making these decisions..it needs a re-think and maybe now Sheikh Mansour is aware of it we will get a more delicate and reasonable reaction.

Over to you Mr Soreano.

At 40-55 pound depending on where you sit why would tickets not be bought prior to the first leg? Also were there any written statements sent to city or media supporting city when tickets prices of £4.50 for Kiev away came out? I think as a whole city price very fair for domestic cups often rewarding cup scheme members, season cards overall are very fair for the team we have the pleasure of seeing. Well when they turn up. Ha. Champions league have been overall fair and at £40-£55 for a quarter final isn't bad at all. Some parts of the ground were paying £53 to see Bayern in the group stage a few year back. So in comparison I think this is reasonable.

No because it is away and City have no say in it as it is Kyiv's gate money and we get 0% of it.

£40 plus for a boring CL QF against a French team is a rip off, not 1 pence off for cup scheme members either. Just because our PL prices are a rip off doesn't mean these are cheap in comparison, clubs sell very few tickets at match day prices for PL games.

And you`ve not answered the question as to whether £100 is value for and adult and a 16 year old in full time education.

I'm in the cheaper tickets better atmosphere camp but it would cost you £70 if you moved to the family stand, that's quite a saving.

I think you'd be surprised just how many long standing supporters no longer go. It's nothing to do with performances, most have seen far worse than we're seeing atm. It's to do with costs consistently rising year after year.

If we end up with £20 tickets in division 2 so be it. Success was never a condition of my support, or most blues I know.

If we do not have the same number of fans as these other clubs surely we need to charge more if we are to compete with them? Our owners can't just bankroll us forever we need to become self sufficient to compete at the top level.

I'm one of the long stranding season ticket holders who will eventually be priced out and I'm saddened by it but I also know I can't have my cake and eat it.

It's either success and higher ticket prices or no success and low ticket prices.

Take your choice blues.

This is absolute bollocks I'm afraid. I'm at work so can't get in to the figures, but I'm sure @Prestwich_Blue will put you right!

Ok i take that about the Kiev away pricing, I thought both clubs may negotiate pricing. What makes you say it will be a boring game? What's it matter if it was a French/German or Spanish team?

Out of touch.

The club could easily look after its core support group and supplement the JCL's if they put their minds to it.

There's a reason Barcelona don't sell out many games and rarely get past 70,000 in the league. They didn't even fill the Arsenal champions league match! That should be evidence enough that there aren't enough day trippers to cover the slack from regular attendees, and that extortionate ticket prices will only highlight that problem.

Im at a loss, and I know for a fact I don't spend the same thousands that a lot of other blues do. Not one consideration of loyalty, circumstances or unity. Bunch of money making pigs, and all to watch the half hearted shite we've been served up since October. Fucking hell I wouldn't pay £5 to watch the likes of Bony, Fernando, Navas, Otamendi, Kolarov or Demichelis down fucking Stalybrigde.
