Thought the ref was excellent. Loads of people slagging him off in pre match thread but he didn't fall for any of their diving. Maybe could have booked the flying monkey but overall he had a great game?

Decent result. Although he may lack quality in some parts of his game, Sterling has to start in Madrid. He had two really good and dangerous runs which could've caused them some serious trouble. Both Aguero (who was really poor today) and KDB will thrive from that.

Its not like Isco and James wernt available, he just dint play them. Benzema played 45 and mind you Jese was way better than him. This is Madrid they have quality players who can replace players. Tranny is a factor but you cant factor a two goal lead for us just cos he isnt playing. This isnt CSKA. Its such a refreshing chance to not see us demolished like in the past against Barcelona, Dortmund and others. Hart in those game kept ghe scoreline below 5 but today we have shown Europe we can compete with the best.

TBH we can nik a goal or two over there 'we all know that were capable of doing so' we have to set our stall out and frustrate them, if we can keep it 0-0 at half time they will be worried abbout conceding which will alow us to play a more attacking style

No they weren't there for the taking thats what the media want you to believe dont fall for it! Madrid have squad full of experience internationals, it was more of a tactical game with madrid making sure they didn't concede an early goal first half and Pellegrini making a big mistake with the sub that played into Madrids hands.

0-0 is a good result all to play for in madrid with the pressure all on them.

THIS ! If anything Jese when on for Benzema was their best player. Its not Fifa where you replace a 90 rated player with 80, its not that simple.
