City v Real Madrid post match

Madrid didn't like being closed down, City looked in control and looked like they would create big moments. Manuel decided to give Madrid what they desperately needed and that was control of the game. He did this by going to 4-4-2. Massive opportunity lost.
Yep, Sterling should have come on for Silva and KDB should have stayed central.

Too big game for Nacho, he was lost there most of the time jogging around like Yaya. Aguero awful, if it wasn't due to some injury, that was pretty shitty.

Loved it. Fascinating game. It was a shame Silva got injured because the change in shape took KDB out of the game and lost us the control we had. It was a coin toss on whether or not to bring on Iheanacho or Sterling at that point but bringing on Sterling for Navas was a mistake that could have cost us big time.

Happy enough, we weren't sharp enough on the break, but Madrid didn't create anything from play. Great without the ball today, Fernando and Dinho different class. Stay compact next week and hopefully it clicks on the counter, Madrid will be terrified of conceding. Well done lads.

Great show from all who went as well, some noise lads.

We are City, super City, super City from Maine Road!

:)

I thought Vinnie & Clichy were both very good tonight. Joe pulled us out the shit with some crucial saves. I thought we were slightly better first half but they were much the better team second half. We didn't create much going forward but neither did they. Need to keep it tight second leg & try & catch them on the break. We're still right in this.

We lost some control in the second half without Silva and DeBruyne having to move to the wing. Should've brought in Sterling for Merlin instead of Nacho (happy for the lad though). We were the better team in the first half and clearly second best in the second half.

Hope Merlin is back soon. If not, maybe we can play Yaya in an advanced position at the Bernabeu.

We'll only know if it was a good result after the second leg...

...

... as idiotic and ludicrous as that may sound.

4-4-2 IN A CL semi-final. I honestly don't see what Pellegrini sees. We lost all control after the formation change.
