Haha I’m half way through season 3 but what’s the reference about playing them tomorrow?

One of the creators is a City fan so they've done a good job of not making City out to be the villain. Jamie's dad is a dick but he's not part of the team. I'd have thought they'd make the scum the bad guys but I get the impression they don't even want to give them the attention.
