barely any tourists in the south stand or where i was sat. seemed a lot less then usual imo. we need to stop blaming tourists tbf. we have more then enough long standing fans there.
I actually think Sane might prefer playing in front of a left back who sits back a bit and doesn't 'steal' his spaceHe had a good game for sure. But before we get too carried away, how many crosses did he fire in, let alone assists? He defended well, which I guess is a LB's first responsibility. But offers little or nothing going forward, especially wide left. Where were the overlaps with Sané?

Yeah. There's no crowd participation. Nothing to do with singing. Just passivity. What to do about it is the question. Affects all EPL teams to one degree or another. No reason why we shouldn't be the club that does something about it. But, we need to admit there's a problem. And it's nothing to do with tourists. In fact, tourists participate more than locals, in my experience.the atmosphere was shocking tonight, no wonder pep gets frustrated with the crowd

A different test tonight and we passed it. Delph was my MoTM and just have to sit and admire the way Edison sprays the ball around with pin point accuracy

Shakhtar were brilliant in possession, really impressed with them and they gave us a tough test night.
We were very very good defensively though tonight, Stones is becoming a real leader and thriving on the responsibility he's been given. Having Walker alongside him I think is a huge help as well, he just doesn't look like he can be beaten for pace, covers the centre backs well and gives us a constant outlet. Delph was outstanding tonight too, he's not as elegant as most of our players but I love his fight and commitment. Otamendi looks really calm and settled too, one weird header tonight but overall he was very good as usual. But what a fucking difference it makes having Ederson behind them, total confidence in everything he does, just complete and utter class.
