City v Southampton post match thread

Comfortable win in the end.

I thought we allowed them to play onto us too much first half, but once they levelled we began to play the ball on the floor again and got 2 quick goals which pretty much killed them off.

Controlled all the second half, our subs were excellent, saints never looked like scoring.

Great win blues.

I think their England quartet look very good they will play for pool and us next season.

due to disability I cannot get to games , so forgive me if ask what has happened to our supporters ?,listening to the match and hearing what people say ,it is seemingly devoid of atmosphere we are going for the title for fuck sake, there was more noise under Pearce than there is now is it nerves? And who had the stupid idea of doing a fire drill with 5 minutes to go The idea Of getting behind the team vocally seems a lost art at the Etihad

Agreed, while they bossed our midfield for the first half I thought we defended really well. Our subs were excellent. Would love Shaw and Lalana but unless they go for the money i got a feeling Rodgers will persuade them to Pool

good neat passing team that caused us problems in the first half, but in the second as they couldn't keep it up our class told and ran out comfortable winners in the end

Three-one flattered us at the break but we were so much better in the second half that four-one didn't flatter us at the end and we really should have bumped up the goal difference by a few more.
Have I mentioned Chris Foy is a cock-womble? No, OK Chris Foy is a cock-womble.
And a big "FUCK OFF YOU TOSSERS" to those that couldn't be bothered today and to the many thousands who allowed some of the best players on the planet to perform in front of empty seats for the final five minutes. It finished 135 minutes earlier than usual so where the f*ck were you going that was so important?

well said. once one goes they all follow like sheep. club needs to sort out these fire drills.

Really strange atmosphere today considering the importance of the game, perhaps it was the early kick off but we seem to have a lot of season ticket holders who don't give a fcuk and a lot of fans who prefer to get home early.
Something you don't see at Anfield or dare I say the swamp.

... can't be arsed to turn up! I know the empty seats thing has been done to death, but I swear there must have been no more than 42,000 actual bums on seats today.

disagree with the post that said Lalana wouldn't be a great purchase as one of our English contingent next season cannot say about Shaw as not seen a lot of him but £30 MILLION????

Just 1 shot on target (the penalty shot), we deserve the win, I 'm not happy with the 2nd goal but that's football. Presure on Liverpool now.
