Great 2nd half Negredo badly lacking confidence.

7 more games to go blue boys.

Needs just to get the scrappiest of scrappy goals and he'll be firing. Very one-legged though. Wonder if he ever practises with his right foot! Kiki Musampa was as left-legged as yer could get and Alvaró seems pretty one-sided. Hope he's saving it for next week.

too many with little faith, we have some absolute brilliant footballers in our team, especially one by the name of silva, the best player to ever pull on the blue shirt, simply brilliant.

onwards and upwards.

Also can someone clarify why Fernandinho was taken off? Posters earlier in the thread implying he's injured I thought it was because he was on a yellow and we wanted to sure things up a bit bringing Garcia on?

good win, got the rub of the green with a couple of key decisions, hope we haven't used them for the rest of the season.

Southampton ended up being toothless, especially after Rodriguez went off, hope he's ok and can go to the WC because he deserves it unlike shite like Welbeck who will get the place through his club crest.

drama queens out in force again , "if we play like we did in the 1st half we will get hammered" we got an early goal , stood off them ,let them play tippy tappy football , then took them to the cleaners . its well known saints are a 30 minute team , they cant press the oppostion for 90 minutes , MP got his tactics spot on again , its about time some posters on here , gave him the credit due . We will do the same at klanfield let them come at us all guns blazing and pick them off when they have run out of steam , cant believe the negativity of some city "fans".

Severe misreading of the game.

the tactical genius has spoken

Poor game and the yellow. Seemed ok injury wise.

After our third went in Kolarov ran the back the full length of the East stand urging everybody to get behind the team vocally. We can make the difference, at times the players must wonder are the fuck we bothered at their efforts because you can always hear the loud groans at a miss placed pass or control.

Thought he was giving it back to the fans who had been moaning at one or two of his misplaced passes. Seemed a bit of venom in it.

Agree - I sit in that stand. It was deffo Kolarov giving a bit back to the crowd.

Just back from the game now, ok performance and a solid 3 points.

First ever real moan on here, mainly at the fans sat around me. I couldn't believe the abuse Dzeko got pretty much for the whole time on the pitch. Negredo comes on, misses 2 pretty easy chances and gets shouts of encouragement. I can't understand why people don't get behind anyone in a city shirt, Edin won a penalty and scored for christs sake.

In this run in we should be 100% behind every player from start to finish! encouragement only. The manager after all feels he's the best option right now and that's a decision we should respect and support.

Maybe I was sat in an enclave of clueless dicks, but it really wound me up today.

Garbage. We didn't control anything in the first half. You make it sound like some kind off master plan. It wasn't and had saints been better at finishing we would have paid the price. You can't afford to turn off for 40 minutes and then turn up for the next phase of the game. On another day we could have paid the price and this thread would have been in meltdown. As it is we've got complacent Johnies like you all over it like a rash.

Hart didnt make a save in 90 minutes , saints are well known for dominating possession and doing fcuk all with it , never looked in danger , ive supported the club for 50 years , so complacency isnt a trait i am familiar with , lightweight supporters expect us to dominate every game and win in style , then there is the real world.

Possibly the best 45 minutes I've seen by an away side this season from the Saints in the 1st half. Very impressed by them and we looked second best except in the one department that matters. Goals scored. It didn't help that Yaya and Fernandinho strolled around and made no effort to wrest the initiative back from them. The arrival of Garcia for Fernandinho made a big difference and we actually made some tackles in midfield in the second half.

However the biggest difference was that by H-T and going in 1-3 down you could see they were a team with nothing to play for. They had no reserves of energy or second wind to pull themselves back with and most of the second half we looked like adding to the score at regular intervals.

Kolarov was my MOTM. Fans leaving earlier and earlier is getting to be ridiculous. Don't care about the traffic/trams etc. We do not look like a team going for the title with a 25% full stadium at the final whistle.

Hope Rodriguez gets back soon. Shame to see him go off like that.
