May need to rethink our formation before the next game, but at least we have the depth to play a number of different ways in one game, so that is a positive.

Thought Garcia was composed and consistently excellent in distributing the ball forward quickly.

Never honestly thought I would see the day where Javi Garcia completely altered a game for us like today.

He was certainly part of it, but it was more to do with a change in our attitude and pressing higher up the pitch than solely a personnel change. That said, Javi was yet again excellent when he came on. Demichelis also had a great game again today.

Saints are a tough opponent for us with their pressing and passing ability but their backline just doesn't have the quality to cope with our attacking quality; whereas City defended well when it mattered: Saints had 5 shots and the only one on target was a penalty that we didn't need to concede.

Silva world class again.

Good job from the lads today. Turned it up 2nd half.

Think Demi has grown in confidence lately, another good solid performance again today.

Frustrating first half, Southampton pushed us hard, but we kept at them, and eventually we got the job done...........well done guys.............

First half is probably best forgot. They were first to every ball and pinged it around really well.
Second half we could have had another 3 or 4 but for poor finishing and a couple of excellent saves. A lot of people were slagging the keeper, but that fingertip save he made from Yaya was exceptional.
Silva was fucking immense and deservedly man of the match. Another good game from Demi and Garcia deserves an honourable mention too, I thought he was outstanding when he came on.
Poor Alf just can't buy a goal at the minute. Hope he scores soon.
I hope Fern and Yaya are both ok. What a fucking blow that would be if they both got injured now.
