Anything less than a win in possibly the easiest of our 4 remaining games would see us slipping out of the top four.

For me this is equally an important game as the Madrid game.

Teams who cannot beat a direct rival in a whole season do not deserve to be in the top 4.

Teams who get hammered on numerous occasions throughout a season do not deserve to be in the top 4.

Teams who have only won back to back games once since October do not deserve to be in the top 4.

Teams who cannot beat the relegation fodder away from home do not deserve to be in the top 4.

Yet we are still there. Despite the shambles this season, finishing 3rd is still a possibility.

It's about time these lazy bastard players and clown of a manager put a run together and finished 3rd. Because any more slip ups, in this season of self inflicted monumental slip ups, will see us deservedly drop outside the CL places.

Totally agree we have been appalling against our rivals for top spot and if that trend continues Arsenal will beat us at home. The whole squad and management have had a Malaise and Apathy about them in our league campaign.

After the win at Chelsea the remaining fixtures all looked winnable.
After the performance at Newcastle they now seem to be very difficult games.

A win against Stoke is now critical.

To the question from OP, yes it is a must win, but the only positive thing I can say is that we might scrape a draw.

Oh FFS. It doesn't make a difference if we drop points against our direct rivals or relegation candidates.

The 4 teams who finish in the top 4 deserve to be there. End of.

When you cannot beat your rivals, which this season is any top 8 side, then you best make sure you beat the lesser sides. Our results against Norwich, Villa and Newcastle away suggests we haven't done that.

Just because Arsenal and United have been shite this season doesn't excuse our poor form. We are very lucky that other clubs have been slightly worse than us.

Questions will rightly be asked of this squad and manager and finishing 4th will not excuse that.

For the record we have all laughed at United's poor form this season but we have been just as bad. A 2 point difference proves that. And that's with us bringing it quality recruits in the summer.

This season has been similar to the one under Mark Hughes where we spent £200 million and finished lower than the previous season.
