City v Swans post match thread

Last time we played on sky near Christmas (also last game that week) was Spurs at home I think 22/23rd Dec lost 3.2 hopefully it's the same score line but in our favour...

Just got in typical of the day after getting piss wet through in non stop rain, almost home and it stops.A dog shit of a performance but we somehow got three points so happy...in a way.It seems like every team can waltz through our 'defence' at least three times a match and be one on one with Joe,thank God he was on form today! No fluency,no proper ball retention, little threat up front and the defence...well! If we show up at Arsenal and play like that it may well be our heaviest defeat in years!

The ref was crap again, surely we must have had our quota of him now this season?Having said that he saved us as I think their goal when Hart got the foul should have been allowed. We have 9 days before the next match....can he really use the tired excuse again??

Dont't know where to start with that performance , very lack lustre , Joe Hart was M of M , he kept us in it , but can we keep on blaming injuries ? , Only 2 players missing who would be certain starters , VK and Kun , admittedly Merlin is still getting up to speed , but we just lack any urgency , and we cannot keep a clean sheet to save our lives
On the surface it looks great , top of the league , semi-finals league cup , and topped our champs league group , and we are not playing at all well , god help the rest of football when we start to "click".
Rags just got stuffed by the mighty Bournemouth , after crashing out of the champs league , every cloud.

Fist and foremost, we need to appreciate the fact that we came away with the 3 points, however fortuitously. It is slightly worrying, nonetheless, the way that we are playing at the moment. We are being opened up at the back with alarming ease and the forward players look bereft of ideas. Lets get all of the squad fit and see if things change for the better. Once that happens, we can assess whether there are any real, terminal issues with this squad and management team or if the injury situation we are currently in is actually the main reason behind the slump in form.

All teams suffer bad days, but you just can’t escape the feeling that our number of poor performances are growing alarmingly.

Yes, it’s the sign of a good team to win these sort of games, but there comes a point when we need to start playing well. This malaise is beginning to spread throughout the team.
