CITY v Villa - Official Match Thread

Line-up looks good but I'm not liking the lack of creativity with De Jong and Viera. Plus I think Viera is gonna' get walked all over by Petrov.

Our bench:
Subs: Santa Cruz, Richards, Onouha, Wright-Phillips, Garrido, Sylvinho, Nielsen.

VILLA: Friedel; Cuellar, Dunne, Collins, Warnock; A Young, Milner, Petrov, Downing, Agbonlahor, Carew.
Subs: L Young, Delfouneso, Guzan, Beye, Sidwell, Heskey, Reo-Coker.

MCFC: Fulop, Zabaleta, Toure(c), Kompany, Bridge, De Jong, Vieira, A Johnson, Bellamy, Adebayor, Tevez.
Subs: Nielsen, Onouha, Richards, Sylvinho, Garrido, Wright-Phillips, Santa Cruz.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Cuellar, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Petrov, Milner, Downing, A Young, Agbonlahor, Carew.
Subs: Guzan, Beye, L Young, Sidwell, Reo-Coker, Heskey, Delfouneso.

Referee-Mark Clattenburg.

Ledley King is starting for Tottenham against Bolton, which seems surprising given Spurs travel to Manchester City on Wednesday and the defender can't play two games in a week.

so same exact formation as us, difference is De Jong and Vieira can't catch up with Milner and Petrov and we have no center mids on the bench for replacement.

Not really, though Sylvinho, SWP and Zab all have been used as CM this season. We can go 4-5-1 with Tevez as AM/SS if needed.

Really really don't like that midfield. Milner and Petrov will walk all over us.
