we won thought we were too wasteful and we should have bagged a hat full

watching the Le Arse gamete passing and tempo of the game is a fuckin long way from what we saw today regardless of the result

Bony did well

We put 5 against this exact Newcastle side mate.

Also, surprise surprise, only 4 pages filled today compared to umpteen after a defeat. Swear some people like us losing more than winning.

If Dawson should have been sent off instead of McAuley and McAuley's red is rescinded, has Dawson basically got away with it?

think the ban will be transferred over.

Ox and Gibbs for Arsenal
Brown and Oshit for Sunderland
Were overturned for the 2 wrongly sent off and no punishment were issued out to the ones who escaped reds

It was ever thus....

Result is all that matters at this point but I'm concerned about our lack of speed in moving the ball and especially our insistence on playing it down the middle, so often neglecting the width and just putting crosses into the box. We're struggling to create many clear cut chances this year, Silva can't do it all on his own, I think this is why Serg keeps coming for the ball so deep and trying to take too much on himself.

I was impressed with Wilf today, all round game was spot on. I was desperate for Serg to score, need him firing for the derby asap.

If ever a game was to generate a giant ' MEH', it was this one. We didn't learn much, except filling the box with ten men is very hard to get through, Nasri and Yaya were not missed, Lamps has mislaid his shooting boots, and we Can score from a corner.

Fernando had a good game. No one really put a foot wrong.

I know no one will give a shit but my ratings would be.

Hart 6
Zaba 7
Kompany 6
Mangala 7
Clichy 6
Fernando 7
Lamparrd 7
Navas 8
Terry Cooke 6
Silva 9
Bony 8
Aguero 7.

IMO of course.

Anyone notice how we didn't play as well when Lamps went off? He was constantly driving the team forward, when he went off it seemed more pedestrian, he's what we've been missing this season in the middle.

As near a perfect performance as you could get against a side that would have put 20 behind the ball all game if they could.

You saw today why Pulis will never get the chance to manage anything other than a relegation threatened side.
