Not long in, the sending off kind of set the tempo of the game, but I doubt it affected West Brom that much, good result won at a cantor (if we would have not won, this thread would be 50 pages by now)

Normal service seemingly resumed.
Given we were playing a very average West Brom side down to 10 men, it's hard to get too carried away, but one can only comment on what was seen:
- Lampard looked calm and collected and showed his class
- Sergio had a good game, but possibly trying to hard to get a goal. On another day could have have 2 or 3
- Bony played ok. Nice finish for the goal. No complaints.
- I'm not sure Jovetic for Lampard was tactical. Just resting Lampard and letting Jovetic have a run out
One thing though, we've missed the Yaya of old in plenty of games this season, but not had a proper replacement to put in his place, ergo we've felt his absence. Lampard today was at least an equal to Yaya in midfield. With that in mind, losing Yaya might not be such a bad thing providing we can have a quality midfield playmaker in his place. Get one of those, and Yaya can be shown the door.

As long as we carry this on until the end of the season i can handle that and not winning the title. We have not really deserved it as it is tbh.
Not that Chelsea have been some unstoppable machine like, just you know, we have been half baked really.

Decent performance that. Navas clearly MOTM. Continued his recent improvement and he impressed me today. Put plenty of dangerous crosses in that the strikers didn't put away. Only thing that I didn't get was subbing off Bony and Lampard. Aguero is clearly going through a poor run and would have tired after playing in the all the recent games so Bony could easily have stayed on and Lamps could surely have last the full game. No point saving him for the future as he'll be back on the bench when Yaya comes back. Three points and a goal from a corner too !
