Training ground stuff - you have to look at WHU. Beaten before they stepped onto the pitch.
I think that's pretty unfair on our lads Marvin, West Ham started pretty well I thought, but it was only because we allowed them to. Rather than have 90% possession near the half way line, whilst creating nothing, and struggling to break teams down, we once again sat deep in the early minutes, and allowed them to come onto us, we're doing this very successfully, it opens the game up so we can attack.

West Ham looked poor because we took them apart, it was ruthless stuff, even having slept on it, I think it was as good as we have played in any game this season, especially considering it was a semi final.

Glad I am not the only one to have noticed this tactic, sit back, attack, early goal, when it works it is devastating

Sheer excellence on the night. Nothing else than a big compliment to the boys. WHU started well, but after the 2nd it was game over. And when a team gives up in the Etihad nowadays, they are in for a hiding. Some of the one touch possession play was mouthwatering.

Negredo definitely MotM, even had a few moments of brilliance as a defender. His workrate was immense. Hope he didn't use all the energy with so many games coming up yet. And maybe not the best on the night, but I enjoyed watching both Dzeko and Garcia, the usual scapegoats on here.

1st and last goals were one of the best I've seen at Eastlands. It's for sure another trip to Wembley, our second homestadium.

Might seem a bit odd when you've watched a game with 6 such fantastic goals, but my favourite bit of the whole match was that one touch interplay between YaYa, Silva & Nasri towards the end of the first half. Just fantastic.

we are a joy to watch just now and still getting the results

credit to Pellegrini

They may well have been my friend, but they are a Premier League club in the Semi-final of a cup, you can only beat what's in front of you, fantastic from City last night.

I liked the fact that even though we were 5 nil up we didn't just coast and scored another in the final minutes.

What impressed me most was that Pellers has now got the whole team playing his fast, one-touch, attacking football. Aguero's extended time out has been a blessing in disguise as it has given Negredo and Dzeko the opportunity to finally gel.

With yesterday's 13 outfield players and Aguero, Ferno, Navas, Milner and Nasti already onboard with Pellers' style we are going to be one heck of a formidable opponent going into the cup-winning half of the season.

Not too sure about our crocks - and the invisible man - though as they haven't had enough game-time exposure to the new style yet.

Nice cameo from Demechelis in centre mid. Looked very comfortable on the ball, admittedly against a midfield that had virtually given up.

Another execution at the Etihad, West Ham were a disgrace though to be honest and don't deserve the brilliant fans they have, they were awesome last night despite their teams complete capitulation from the kick off.

Not just that but something that's been really missing this season so far is the immediate closing down and break up of attacks. We've been far too open in my opinion all season and last night even Garcia was working well at closing down all spaces available.

The best two were the front two. I reckon their centre halves cried in the changing rooms after the game last night and woke up a fair few times in a panic about them last night too!
