Looks like Silva won't be risked so yeah I agree Dinho should play Saturday and then will probably be rested in the cup.
You guys are still thinking in a linear form. Yes, Fernandihno has been great, but anyone can be dropped. And the replacement might just be as good in a different way. Garcia, Gundogan, Nando, Kolarov, Otamendi. The list of those who can excel in that position is endless so long as everyone follows the script.

why would he rest fernandinho when we have a league cup game midweek? Nailed on starter in the league when fit

And I dont think three of them players youve mentioned have ever played a game in midfield in the prem before.

Saturday can't come quick enough......also, I can't see it posted anywhere else, the ref is Jon Moss!

That's my prediction. DeBryune gets a breather, and had Nando been healthy I'd have expected Dihno to get a breather too. Perhaps he'd start the kid.
Who's your 11th, we are good but not yet 10 v 11 level

I don't like to be cocky, because the Premier League has a horrible habit of giving you a nasty surprise when you least expect it, but it is difficult to see anything other than a win and hopefully a comfortable one. At the moment it is just a pleasure to be excited about going to the matches again after a year or so where it felt like a bit of a bind. I doubt last season I would have bothered going on my 2+ hour drive to the match for the second night on the run but I didn't hesitate last night.

We should sail comfortably without getting out of 2nd gear..Howe's philosophy is attack-attack.He might try to go defensive but he doesnt have the players to..They are a shambles defensively and offer little offensively.
Might be the first real thumping of the season.

Gutted I can't make it to this, family wedding. Watching city these days is better than a threesome!

Should be a good smashing this. I like Howe, and deserves huge credit for refusing to go down the Mourinho route of going ultra defensive. They only know how to attack though and quite simply, we are much better than them at it. Kelechi should be bagging a few and increasing his already phenomenal goal scoring record.

I know we're playing well but 10 men? You must be confident ;-)

For the first hour yesterday BMG had a minimum of 5 players in our half whenever Bravo had the ball. And still we were able to pass our way round them with ease. It's a huge challenge for managers such as Howe to find a way of setting up their team against us.

We are a joy to watch but I'm not taking anything for granted..very tricky fixture this one and we need a loud crowd behind us.2-2
