City Vs AjaxPost Game Discussion Thread

Dunno why everyone is having a go at Mancini. yes our defending was shit BUT we should have been 3-2 up and had a penalty at the end for a potential 4-2. We did everything in our power to get the result and we would have done if it hadn't been for the linesman and ref.

should have been 3-2, also shouldn't have lost in madrid - fine margins between success and failure

to many ? who are they then ?

hart , zabaleta , barry , milner , garcia , clichy , richards , this people all are lovable guys and its a pain to say that they are not good enough , but it is just the truth.

and i dont even consider the pure squad players like sinclair rodwell kolo toure etc

Yeah, Hart and Zabaleta are absolute shite. If Mancini leaves City are you going to support another club?

Probably!
never heard such shite if I'm honest.

Their passing was, but dominated us? do me favour....

Passing, determination and attitude was also things that Ajax had that we were lacking in the first half, too many times from goal kicks Hart had no options as we lacked any urgency or pace..

If it was a one off then it would be slightly more acceptable but it's been 4 games in a row now.
Ajax were rubbish and would have been turned over by most Premiership teams. We were well below par. But your analysis is totally wrong. We expended a great amount of effort in the first 20 minutes trying to close the man on the ball down. There was plenty of determination and attitude. Too much if anything

We needed composure on the ball, and to play our normal game. instead we tried to knock them out in the first 20 mins. Good reaction to the Dortmund game where we were outfought, but there's no point if you don't do the basics at the same time such as defend corners.

Team has so much guts. They nearly came back again. What's lacking is not spirit but the feeling that the players and team belongs in the Champions League. They are much better player for player than Ajax. Their players are not Premiership standard, and I don't think one would get in our starting line up.

There is so much wrong with this I'm not even going to bother, you compared Ajax to West Bromwich earlier in this thread and I'll just leave it at that..

Honestly I think that's something the manager wants to address. He's tried to get a deep-lying passer who can set our forwards off on runs for the past two years. Should have dropped a fucking mint for De Rossi.

Or pulled out all the stops to get Stephen Ireland back.
Unfortunately that player also needs to defend.

Why?
For every goal that we'd concede, he'd make us three. Quality forwards like ours would think that they'd died and gone to heaven with the chances he'd provide and they would be clear chances, not snatched half-chances from the middle of a crowd of defenders.

We would do o.k. with just one DM as long as our defence was properly organised and coached.

If he answers "yes" I reckon Mancini might have a problem with vast numbers of supporters suddenly wanting him gone.

You find me a player like Odemwingie or Shane Long in the Ajax team. They were rubbish and survived thatnks to 2 set-piece goals and a City team panicking because they were 2-0 down and going out of the Champions League. You think Ajax of Cruyff, and Seedorf but this is not the same team
