City Vs Arsenal Pre match Discussion Thread

Everyone on the arsenal forums seems to be berating Giroud. Havent seen much of Arsenal this season. Has he really been that bad? Looked decent at the start of the season. Anyways, they should be knackered after the Napoli game while most of our starting XI will be fresh, Nasri, Silva/Navas, Toure, Aguero Negredo should make them run as much as possible early on and then find the space to score easily. If we play the pressing style that Pellegrini wants, we should win.

They had quite a decent record against us at the Etihad in the last few years, but since we are playing a completely different style, its hard to see them continuing it.

Giroud is just knackered. It seems like Wenger has played the Ozil/Giroud partnership in every single match. s.

IF we don't beat Arsenal, we don't deserve to win the title. End of.

God I hope not. Feel a lot less comfortable when I think of Hart in goal.

Perhaps we've been watching two different keepers over the last 2/3 weeks. Hart deserved to be benched at the time. However, he's been pretty much rock solid (aside from a shaky start versus BM) since he came in. Pants has gotten good results against crap teams but hasn't looked exactly rock solid. His will I won't I routine in deciding to step up and collect isn't a one game thing.

So while some say that he needs to stay in goal until he loses the job, I'd say that not keeping clean sheets in a couple of those matches makes a lot more sense. Kompany got some of the blame for mishandling a roll out from Pants instead of clearing it. However, that pass shouldn't have been made to him in the first place.

Lastly, I have to believe that having Hart back there with Kompany makes a lot more sense as they've played how many matches together?

What we can learn from this friendly match?
What we should do better?
What we must change that this wont happen again?
