I thought we were totally outplayed. We hardly saw the ball and looked a patch on our normal home form. There were some good performances but collectively it was not good. Say what you want but we are out, il be stunned if we get through. It was also a strange atmosphere in the ground, as fans we need to do our bit. I think we will win two trophies this season and be better in the CL next season. Overall I'm pretty gutted, we should have done better.

Try not thinking then, it does not serve you well.

Give it a rest. We never looked like winning, as I have said that is disappointing as we have been brilliant at times this season at home. I'm not being negative but do you really think the players truly believed they could win tonight? We are a great team but not quite good enough yet.

What a complete load of shit, they were not exactly making Hart sweat were they, we had as good a chance as them up until the penalty, indeed we looked more dangerous after.
Your some fifa manager new fan or watched a different match.

Another major milestone in our development.

Small margins, erratic refereeing, but overall Barca deserved their win.

But as an emerging potential dominant force on the European stage we can also see that there was very little between us and one of the top sides in world football.

Whilst the game highlighted some individuals that are more capable domestically rather than at this level, I thought some of our players were a joy to watch at times tonight - Vinny, Yaya and Zab..... and especially David Silva.

The pressure will be off in the Nou. Sergio will be back. Should be interesting!
Well said Vintage, that'll do for me.

oh dear!!! thought MDM played well until then
Probably because he did play well until that point. You cannot judge a players performance on 1 second of it, instead consider the other 53 minutes.

MDM was poor all night, sliced clearances or big hoofs up the pitch. He's not good enough, not even nearly. He was the same against Chelsea in the league. But my major issue is the fact that Pellegrini continues to pick him.

Well I disagree. He put a couple of passes wayward but mad a few good interceptions. Thought we marshalled Messi et al quite well
first half. To compare his game V Chelsea to this one, where he played in a different position altogether, tells me you're not up on this game.

In the circumstances, a decent performance from the team, and if we had scored an equaliser it would have been nothing less than deserved, because with ten men, we actually took the game to them. Superb displays from Kompany, Silva, Zabaleta and Ferna.

The curve of our progression is monumentally upward, and we now have a team on our hands, not just a collection of individuals.

Hoping this experience fires the lads on to domestic success, and further progression in ECL next season, one step at a time boys, its coming!

Why don't you just fcuk off.
Why dont you realise we have fucking nil support compared to lesser teams...bury your head in the sand all you want

Desperate times at the swamp, now finish your homework and get to bed.

At least now we can go over there and have a proper go at them with nothing to lose. The media reckon we've got no chance so there's no pressure on us. Yes, we might get beat again but then again, with a more positive approach from the start, we just might do them - especially if Aguero's back.

Bin this twat please before someone takes a ban for him.

I thought it was an even game tonight. Both teams were pretty cautious at the start. Referee performance was average
However the limitations of Demichelis and Lescott were badly exposed in this match. We really should have gone for a quality CB in the transfer window.

Anyway, there's not much hope for the return leg, but I will keep hoping that we can win at their stadium and Aguero will be playing at his best by then..
