City vs Barca - Post Match Thread

Disappointed, gave them far to much respect tonight. Pellegrini fucked up starting kolarov, the difference when Nasri came on was so noticeable. Wasted opportunity there as I really think barca are beatable. Suppose the blame can be put on demichellis, why make a tackle like that when you're no way near the ball, what an idiot. Why are people blaming are hart, thought he had a solid game tonight.
 
0-2 harsh on us to be fair, contained them well throughout the game.

MDM's fucking stupid tackle cost us the game, we showed we can get at them even with ten men. Ties not over yet with Aguero back but we seriously need a new CB to play next to Kompany in the summer while Nastasic continues to develop.

Also that Ref was a wanker and those commentators are twats.
 
Tie is not over, but it's true what they say, it takes years at this level to learn how to play in the CL. Fine margins, mistakes will be punished.

These are all part of the learning experience for everyone, including fans.
 
Great performance. Silva was awesome!! Ferna as well and Kompany. Phenomenal!!!!
We might not have won but I had a great time watching that epic effort.

Pellegrini sent us out to not get beat by a big scoreline, not to win the game. That's why we lost.



I never expected us to win tonight, but I hoped that we would at least give it a go... it was only after we went down to 10 that in a moment of panic Manuel came to the conclusion that we should give it a go.

And we've known for months that Demichelis was a liability and that even Lescott was not much better. Another clanger, we failed to buy a centre back, despite everyone screaming for one in January.


Shame that great players like Kompany, Hart, Zabaleta, Fernandinho, Nasri, Silva, Toure, Negredo have to suffer because of individual errors. Pellegrini didn't let Toure get forward and play to his strengths, Credit to Negredo for working his ass off despite being a lone striker.
