it is only a shame because there are some horrid teams in that final 16 of the CL. It will be very uninteresting competition and you can basically skip to the Bayern, Real, Barca, Chelsea semi-finals.

Proud of the way we have acted in Europe as a club. From the welcome signs for Napoli fans to the way we have spoken and dealt with the press. When you see the unprofessional way Napoli and Munichs owners/board have acted, the CL has lost a professional outfit by us getting knocked out.
Imperative we get back next year.
10 Points is a great tally from this group, people say unfairly Villareal are the whipping boys, no they are not. They were in Pot 2. Whipping boys is the pointless team in Utd's group.
Any other year 10 points would have seen us 2nd. Very unlucky. From the woodwork a few times at home to Napoli to the 2 blatant penalties not given at 0-0 away at Munich.

We will learn from this and be stronger next year.
Now, to get ranking points in the Europa and try and get Pot 2

Proud of our lads, Unlucky result at Villarreal. The rags have no excuse I thought they have 'experience' and had the easiest group known to man. Well done City we will be back next year no doubt!

Hardest group in the entire thing and we nearly made it, either way in comparison to the rags we should be happy tonight. We've beaten one of the best teams in Europe soundly and we are on the right path, it seems losing in Napoli and the first home game is what cost but anyway next year is our year.
