City Vs Bournemouth Post Match Thread

Yes! Been on a course all day and only just seen the result! Saw the score line and excitedly checked who scored... couldn't have been better, the two players who needed goals the most! Then nervously checked to see what minute Fernandinho and Mangala got booked in... but they didn't get booked!! Unbelievable! Sounds good to me. Not got a clue how well our general play was, or which players played well (other than scoring), but who gives a fuck. Get in!

71 mins before we got a freekick, obscene.

not a great performance, but with players out, considering we've won 11-2 in our last 2 games without being near our best, we should win the league at a canter. Have to improve and beat Sevilla Wednesday, and then humiliate that lot next weekend.

Strange game today I thought. Atmosphere was very muted in some ways, although the Bournemouth fans did themselves proud with great numbers, and were quite vocal for periods (accepting that they quietened down a lot after 3-1).

The scoreline feels quite flattering in some ways, but Bournemouth rarely threatened. De Bruyne might have had a beauty were it not a great save from the keeper tipping onto the crossbar.

I still don't know what to make of Navas. Sterling spared his blushes with a fine goal, nutmegging the keeper, but Navas really ought to have scored himself. Still, all's well that ends well. Nice to see Bony's luck turn, and once again, De Bruyne looked magnificent.

Most of the second half felt like a friendly game. I think both teams had already accepted the scoreline, and thus there were the game suffered a lull.

Sagna did well at left back too, and certainly didn't look out of place.

Good performance overall but still a bit worried about our defence.
Great to see Raheem get a hat-trick and chance to remind whichever cock it was on Talkshite about his comment along the lines of "if Sterling scores five this season I'll eat my hat". Well that's five so get eating.
Brilliant fire drill as well. Far better than when we only scored ten home goals under Pearce. I'd have love Ian Nacho's to have stood just so the traffic beaters would have missed two late goals.
As for that decision; I thought Wilf was offside when the ball was punted from the back. He played it so the flag was correct. What confused me was that he let play continue for so long after Bony played the ball. If he gave it for the ball to Nacho then it's another Specsavers job.

De Bruyne was superb today. He is a really good player. Sterling much better behind the front man with kev on the left.Thought Yaya was good too. Hope he isn't injured.

Thought we were very good in spells today but a bit sloppy in spells too. Better sides would have scored more than one today.

Mangala has got to do better than that for their goal. One error is bad enough but to let him get his shot away again is not good enough especially as it happened against West Ham too. Having said that he was much better second half.

Navas must be glad Sterling put that in. That's two sitters he has missed now but again played ok overall.

Nice routine win and hardly broke sweat second half.

Someone didn't enjoy his visit.

No plans to rush back here next season.

Just like LFC, loads of entertainment and bars behind the stadium, but unlike LFC, it's staffed by nobheads and away fans not allowed in.

£6.50 for sausage & chips. Loads of 'posh food' around the outside (which didn't look that appealing). Even the compere for the 'entertainment' did his best to live up to the gobby northern git stereotype.

Headed into the stadium to experience a very thorough and unfriendly search/pat down. Small children had soft drinks in small cartons taken off them and poured away.

Arrived at the food counter at 2:15pm to be told that they had run out of all hot food and there wouldn't be any more till half time. £2.50 for a bottle of water and no soft drinks for kids except £3 for a cup of fizzy syrup.

No attempt to make away fans welcome that we've seen at other grounds. Poor show given the money they are charging us.

Why would be allow away fans to mingle with City fans? South coast cock knocker.
