Sounds like Vinnie won't be playing "“We’ll have to see when he can return to his position for us"

Pellegrini also seemed to hint that Vincent Kompany will not make an immediate return to the line-up after representing Belgium in midweek.

The Chilean admitted he would have preferred it if his captain had not played and revealed that the club sent a medical report to Belgium Head Coach Marc Wilmots explaining why.

Very much in the doghouse i think

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Mangala Zabaleta
Fernando Yaya
Navas Nasri KdB
Bony

That would be my pick if Kompany not playing. Dinho 1 yellow away from missing derby so wouldn't risk him. Likely going to be B'mouth sat back defending a lot of the match and see someone like Nasri as more likely to pick the lock rather than Sterling + KdB is the best crosser out of Sterling/Navas/him so could get some good balls in for Bony.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pellegrini plays:

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Mangala Zabaleta
Fernandinho Yaya
Navas KdB Sterling
Bony

Why is everybody freezing Nasri right out of the picture in their team selections? I just can't understand it. He's a skilled player, and in the absence of Silva his playmaking abilities may well come in handy. Obviously, it would be a straight choice between Navas and Nasri. But in this case, I think I'd go for the latter, now that he's back from injury.

I'd rather have Zabaleta on the same side of the pitch as Navas, think they work together better in attack.

Perhaps the thinking is that Navas deserves to keep his place after the way he played against Newcastle. Although I think he's better coming off of the bench.

It is weird that MP doesn't realize that. He comes off the bench and sparks the team so MP starts him for a bunch of games and he's awful so he doesn't start him and he comes off the bench and sparks the team so MP again starts him for a bunch of matches and he's awful...
