This is getting stupid now.

Bayern are the best team on the planet who doled out an even more comprehensive defeat on Barcelona last season

That's a one off. Ignore it

The relevant games are the Premiership games, and we're playing well in the League

If there's a problem with the game on Saturday, it's not tactics, its tiredness, and coping with the disappointment. And also Everton are playing very well

Sorry, apart from the rags and Newcastle (and possibly Villa depending on whether you think a glorious defeat counts as playing well), I don't believe we have played all that well. That is the crux.

I think you are being kind we have been piss poor in the league by the standards and quality of football we should be setting.

No ifs no buts piss poor , 2 good results but beat nothing on the day of note and were lucky Hull didn't score the two a decent finishing side would have.

If Everton get those chances early on we are cactus.

I know I'm not supportive of Pelligrini, but I really do hope we win on Saturday otherwise things really could get very unpleasant for all of us as fans.

Well if Richards reckons the players are tired now , it hardly augurs well for the visit of a competitive Everton side who are sure to want to build on their decent start to the season.

I can feel a 0-0 coming on !
I didn't like what Richards was saying last night . A lot of tired bodies in that dressing room last night . Might as well of said where going to lose to Everton on Saturday where knackered . Big game for everyone connected with City on Saturday .

Hope we come out with a point to prove and steamroller everton, hart needs taken out of the side for a few games till he get's his head right(imo he's become complacent)..dzeko sits on the bench and negredo starts, lescott comes in for nastastic(imo would cope better against the physical presence of lukaku).....hoping for a win but have a feeling it will end in a score draw..

Pantilimon
Zabaleta
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy
Navas
Yaya
Fernandinho
Silva
Negredo
Aguero

Lescott and kompany deserve a run of games together now. Defence looks much stronger with them two.

That's very big of you.

I think Hart needs to stay in for now but Pellegrini needs to make it clear to him that much more of the shit he has seved up this season and he is benched.

I agree that Lescott should come back in although I do have some concerns about him. Nastasic is looking a bit shaky at the moment.

Zabaleta back in for Richards and Clichy stays in.

Navas dropped, Dzeko dropped.

Hart

Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott Clichy

Milner, Yaya, Fernandinho

Silva, Aguero, Nasri.

We did play well against Villa, but lapses in concentration sunk us

Saturday is an opportunity for the team and manager to put things right and no better test than an in form Everton

Villa was more about dominating possession without the cutting edge.

Not a save for the Villa keeper to make in open play.

Not our best day at Villa Park in recent memory by any means.

The three goals we conceded were somewhat bizarre and avoidable but again its a place where we have dominated on the scoreboard in recent years and another three points we will have to make up somewhere else away from home this season.

Hart

Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott Clichy

Milner, Yaya, Fernandinho

Silva, Aguero, Nasri.

Without a proper midfield controlling the game, any defender is going to look a bit shaky, and any striker is going to look ineffective. Sort out the midfield and the defence will magically look solid again, and the strikers will... well they'll get a lot of chances to score anyway (last year showed that our strikers don't exactly put the ball away at every opportunity).

Just throwing a couple of ideas about, but in a game where you are surely expected to win, why not go at it with a 3 back formation, as Pellegrini seem to like his 2 strikers?
---------------------------Hart-----------------------------
----------Kompany - Nastasic - Lescott-------
Zabaleta -------------------------------Kolarov/Clichy
--------------Toure-----Fernandinho-----
