City vs Palace - Post Match Thread

Decent performance. Hart with those two good first half saves was important too. Delph all energy and not afraid to try his luck from distance. Second half Silva and Aguero took over. Would have liked to have seen Kelechi given longer especially after Kolorov had already gone off. Defended well as a team.

Great game, maybe a touch nervy at the start but apart from that we coasted it.
Delph what a goal miles out, didn't see any deflection, keeper probably could've saved it but nice to see shots from outside the box.
Agüero is definitely getting there, motm for me. Fortunate first goal. Brilliant play for his second aswell as Silva, Yaya and De Bruyne. Loved the touch to get in behind and putting it on a plate for David was just beautiful.
No one played badly, Hart a couple decent saves. Cool at the back, hard working in midfield and by the end the forwards were just having a laugh.
A shame Iheanacho didn't get a well deserved goal and hope Kolarov will be alright. And happy birthday Zaba great to have him back.

Great performance from the team. Everyone put a shift in.

And more of that 3rd goal please! We all know the players are capable of doing it.

Working today and missed the match. Kept up to date via the match thread. Thanks.

That aside, what was the crowd today, and what was the atmosphere like. Thanks.
Thought the atmosphere was ok, looking forward to seeing the SS display. Plenty of singing and 117 is always funny for the abuse the guy behind me gives every goalkeeper.

You perceived the 4 goals
Nah. Fewer shots, fewer shots on target, less possession, poorer pass completion rate, fewer chances created, gave up more chances.

Overall a poorer perfomance. But s better result.

Zab played very well. He looks fit and like the Zab we know. I thought he'd struggle for a while, but he is going to be very influential.

I must have watched a different game. Bar the goals I thought we were pretty rank average, and for majority of game I was bored rigid.

It's been a no brainer for me for some time that, with everyone fit, Dinho and Delph start. One of them gets injured, and Fernando comes in. Toure should be a bench option.
Football games are often decided by momentum, and it's sometimes very hard to stop that momentum. Either you have it yourself, or you prevent the opposition getting any. Too often we totally lack it from the start, because our midfield 2 (1 when Yaya plays) are ceding the midfield to the opposition, giving momentum to them.
Has Manuel got the cojones to turn today's benching of Yaya into the norm?
You thought we were that much better without Toure first half?
Until the second went in we weren't that convincing.
Obviously with full time specs on it was a decent performance after a much better second half.
If only we could display the confidence and movement at 0-0 as we do at 2-0. Not easy, but we used to.
