We were good, but not excellent and still won 4-0 which is very promising.

I looked at the starting line up and thought, apart from 3 players - Silva, Aguero and De Bruyne, the team looked average(ish) on paper. Not bad, but perhaps Spurs/Liverpool level, rather than close to the top teams in Europe. That said, 11 players who didn't start today would make a very competitive Premier League side: Willy, Sanga, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy, Yaya, Fernandinho, Navas, Nasri, Sterling, Bony.

And talking of bent cnuts - how do we only manage TWO minutes of added time? Kolarov injury, Demichelis injury, five subs and two goals and we only get two minutes. Was Jonny on a promise from Mrs Moss? The sooner the refs have timekeeping taken from them, and the ongoing time is shown on a big screen with a clock that stops when time needs to be added on, the better!
