what about lescott? is he still hurt?? cuz i think his size and body strength will be a great asset to our defense. We should expect to defend 70% of the time.

i originally would have started with Nasri and Silva on the flanks but after having a re-think, we are at home, need to win and Real Madrid are vulnerable at the back. With this front 3 we can pin their back 4 down and let the rest of our team deal with the defensive side of things. Yaya can burst from midfield to join in and Tevez/Aguero will do their fair share of closing down and tackling. I'm thinking Inter v Barca (from their ChampsLeague win) when Mourinho started with 3 strikers (Eto'o-Milito-Pandev) and pinned Barcas adventurous defence back. Come on the Blues!

Doesn't do it for me mate. The front three wouldn't see much of the ball, Tevez would end up on the half way line coming to get it, 30 yards from Aguero and Dzeko, with no link up play. Clichy cant cross for toffee and Dzeko would be completely reliant on service from Maicon, which is not the end of the world but hardly playing to our full strengths. I see 90 minutes of frustration playing in front of the Real defence with that line up. No thanks.

Silva MUST start. He's the only one who can find Tevez and Aguero when they get behind the Real line. And I'd have Kolorov on the bench for his free kicks and crosses. Maybe even start him instead of Clichy, although Tranny on Kolorov is a worrying thought.
