I'd rest the big guns for Sunday....

.............................Hart..............................
...Zab............Kolo............Jolene............AK.....
...................Garcia..........Milner.....................
......Nasri.......................................Sinclair.....
....................Balo............Dzeko.....................

Not even in the eligible squad for CL

Aye, forgot about that, fair enough - put Nasty in then and still rest Vinny.

No its over for another season .I look forward to being in the champions league again next season.Bluemoon

For this match i will go with Hart-Zaba-Kompany-Nasty-Garcia-Yaya-Nasri-Tevez-Silva-Aguero...i predict a 2-1 win with tevez and aguero to score...Go CITY!!!!!

I think we'll have a better chance with 11 men rather than 10.....

Dortmund, but then hope Ajax hold Real to a draw and that we beat Dortmund.

Still, stranger things have happened...

Do we fuck!!! We desperately want Ajax to beat Dortmund. If that happens then it's back in our own hands as we would be level with Dortmund if we win 2 games and go through on head to head.

Actually, Dortmund are a point ahead of Real so if they win then they're through. If we win both games and Real only manage a point v Ajax we'll go through with a point more than Real if I'm not mistaken.

It's far more likely Ajax beat Dortmund in Amsterdam than Ajax getting something in Madrid. Plus I'd rather have it in our hands going into the last game than relying on other results. If Ajax beat Dortmund then it's in our own hands - it's as simple as that.
It's far better us going to Dortmund knowing if we win we go through.
We desperately want Ajax to beat Dortmund there's no two ways about it

Ajax beat Dortmund = in city's own hands
Dortmund beat Ajax = not in city's own hands

You forget that if Dortmund are already through, they might take it easy in that last game, however unlikely. If we win both games, Dortmund beat Ajax and Real draw with Ajax it should end like this:

1. Dortmund
2. City
3. Real
4. Ajax

Would you rather
A) go to Dortmund knowing that no matter what happens elsewhere if we win we go through
B) go to Dortmund knowing even if we win we might not go through

And also, what is more likely?
A) Ajax beat Dortmund in Amsterdam
B) Ajax get something at the bernabeu in a game Madrid must win

There is simply no debate in this - we want Ajax to beat Dortmund

Then Dortmund are through and it's still out of our hands. We'd be relying on Ajax getting something in Madrid. As I said, an Ajax win on wednesday would be an absolutely monumental result and leave us in a winner takes all game against dortmund
