Let's just imagine Dortmund lose both their games and we win both of ours...both on 8 points...would qualification depend on GD or head to head?

Both have the same points - head to head

which would see us through, which is an interesting way to think about it.

Ajax will play a cup final at home to Dortmund so you never know, Dortmund were quite fortunate to beat them at home.

Does anyone on the planet really think Ajax will manage a draw in Madrid, in a must-win game for Real?

We are out whatever happens on Wednesday lads. Sorry, but I just cannot see Real Madrid failing to qualify, can you? Not in a million years.

Dortmund, but then hope Ajax hold Real to a draw and that we beat Dortmund.

Still, stranger things have happened...

Do we fuck!!! We desperately want Ajax to beat Dortmund. If that happens then it's back in our own hands as we would be level with Dortmund if we win 2 games and go through on head to head.

I don't think we can go with just one striker up top like when we last plate Madrid, yes we were a wall of a midfield to get past but we offered no threat up top! Only until Edin came on to join Carlos up front we got going attacking wise!

I do think Manini will play very direct and play Edin to hold the ball up whilst either Carlos or Kun plays off him.

More cautious approach:

-----------------Hart----------------
Zabaleta-Kompany-Nastasic-Clichy
-------------Barry-Garcia-----------
-----------------Yaya---------------
Silva-------(Roaming)-----Tevez/Kun
-----------------Dzeko--------------

More attacking approach:

---------------Hart----------------
Maicon-Kompany-Nastasic-Clichy
-------------Barry-Yaya----------
Silva-------Kun/Tevez------Nasri
----------------Edin---------------

Optional 3 at the back:

------------------Hart------------------
-----Zabaleta-Kompany-Clichy-------
Maicon------Barry--Yaya-------Kolarov
------Silva------Dzeko-----Tevez/Kun

I think we might go with Option 3.

Madrid will play 4-3-3 (as they normally do) with a front 3 of Ronaldo / Higuan or Benzema/ Di Maria or Kaka and we need some width as they will try to stretch the play.

Against Spurs in the second half we showed we could play the system.

Actually, Dortmund are a point ahead of Real so if they win then they're through. If we win both games and Real only manage a point v Ajax we'll go through with a point more than Real if I'm not mistaken.
