We did the job. Thats it...I wont be watching the highlights in a hurry! Thought kolorov and sagna struggled a fair bit today but theres no point in singling out individual players.

The team played as a whole, played sloppy. Especially 1st half, but the games just pile up over xmas/new year and many of our regulars featured today which suprised me considering that most that started have been playing a hell of a lot.

Thought the youth players like pozo and that celina would of had a brief run around aswell but to be fair but i didnt see that coming!

But we've scraped through to the next round which is all that matters. Bring on whoever we play next!

We simply strolled through the first half. The passing was slow and ponderous allowing them to easily get in position to defend.

The second half the tempo picked up and you could see them being stretched, but with a lead they had something to hang on to.

For me Nava was our best player. Kept going all game and made an important block in the second half when they broke away.

The weakness in defence we Sagna & Kolarov. Everytime the ball was hit with any pace towards Sagna it bounced off him. Whilst Kolarov is a better player when he pushes forward which he rarely did.

Up front nothing gelled in the first half. Jovetic tried hard, but needs to cut out the little flicks and just play simple one - two's. Lampard struggled and so did Milner when he was on the left.

Played much better with Silva and Nasri on second half and Jimmy going up front.

Just got home....Aye we kept looking over at the bench 10 minutes into the second half...sorta waiting for the inevitable..
Thought the Ref had a blinder tho lol....some real 1960's tackles goin' in at times...
Anyroad upwards..better than last time.
Still think we may have an argument to get it replayed tho...Lampard should be playing at the Philladelphia f.ookwits or whatever...and surely it should have finished at half time...

Happy to be in the draw for the next round. Happy for Jimmy being rewarded for his non stop running with 2 goals. Happy to see Silva leave the pitch in one piece after expecting him to be targeted by Wednesday's players. Happy that we pulled our finger out after a poor first half and showed enough character to win the game.
That's about it.

There are a few players that need to have a look at their performance today.

Passing just wasn't up to scratch in the first half. Missed the movement of Nasri and Silva especially when we play at that kind of tempo. I think if Navas had played about 15feet higher up the pitch especially in the first half we would have had a touch more control. We conceded a poor goal really but overall decent games from Mangala and Boyata

if the FA want teams to take the cup seriously and play full strength teams then they need to put a stop to the outrageous tackles. There were some really dangerous tackles today and someone could have copped for a bad injury.
the blyth tackle on zigic yesterday was also disgraceful but it was laughed off as the plucky underdog getting "stuck in".
thought Wednesday were an absolute disgrace - and the referee let them get away with it.
