City vs Sheffield Wednesday Post Match

What's happened to Kolarov? He was poor today.... Tough game but got over the line... Nice to get a little luck... Surprised the ref allowed it
Milner's second was definitely NOT offside. Their player is on the pitch after Silva's touch. Kirkland is the second player playing Milner onside. You can see the ball flashing past Kirkland's head.

Wednesday were solid, what do you expect, they got the benefit of playing us earlier in the season and learning from their mistakes.

We were below par, but we got the job done after a frantic period of games without a number of key players fit, now for a week off, a reset, and a refresh.

Nobody remembers your 3rd round tie when you reach the semis/final.

We should not be pushing it til last few minutes to win a game against what should be relatively easy opponents.
There are a few players that need to have a look at their performance today.
Not good enough. Yet again, our 'keystone cops defence' was on full display.

Really? How many chances did Sheffield Wednesday have?
Ignore her. She's either a troll, wum or fucking idiot.

I'd go for all three.

Read the wum's comments in the match thread, started slating the players in the first 15 mins and hardly stopped.

I'd like to add he is probably a RAG too.

We made hard work of it - chuffed for Milner thought and silva showed just how special he is today

Garbage until Silva and Nasri came on. After that there was only one team going to score. Sheff Wed defended well but had little going forward. We gave them hope with our shit defending but were always likely to score once our best players were on. Thought it was going to a replay though which would have been a pain in the arse.

Some players need to rewatch that game and assess their first half performances.

Sagna and Kolorov need to stay on the bench for the rest of the season because neither are good enough going forward.

Apart from their early goal, there really was only one team in it, although it was a bit nervy in the 2nd half, a replay was just what we did not need, Wednesday played a solid enough game as one would expect, we look a bit jaded, I bet they are glad of a few days rest

Good grief, we made hard work of that. As soon as silva came on, the game changed completely. Im all for changing the team but I said to my dad before the game that there was no creativity in that side and bet silva has to come on. Surely its better to play him and then take him off instead of having to chase the game? Kolorov was beyond useless aswell, always strolls forward, does that shite cut in flick thing and turns back.
But credit to wednesday, they stuck to their game plan and it very nearly paid off, thankyou james milner!

Nasri and Silva changed the game - that was obvious. They keep the ball and it sparks Yaya into life. Milner made a difference up front too. Jovetic was very poor and particularly wasteful. Hope Dzeko and Aguero are back ASAP.

Even if he had slid off the pitch before Navas put the ball across he would still be playing Milner onside (along with the goalkeeper) as, by his action he was trying to stop the cross so is still active till after the next person touches the ball. In this case the point at which Milner touches it into the net..
