Sorry to put a dampener on things but that is just not going to happen.

I thought the miserable little shit could at least force a smile when we have secured a top four place for the first time. He is still captain after all. But no chance, he made no effort to look remotely happy and there is no chance he will still be here next season.

We are far more threatening with him on the pitch though and he should play on Saturday if fit enough.

Good assesment.

Kompany,Richards,Silva,Milner,Lescott and Hart were immense.
Dzeko worked tirelessly in a very difficult,unsuited,role.Zaba as ever gave it his best and got some great challenges in but proved again he struggles against pace.

Tevez made a great cameo and i thought Koloarov showed improvement.

AJ was poor and proved again he is simply an impact player,DJ was strangely subdued and i thought Yaya took the night off again.

But ultimately an awesome result......

Fuck me that was a difficult watch...Fantastic result and I am totally hoarse now...BBC site has Spuds with 7 shots on target...can only remember one save Joe made so fuck knows where that stat came from...we defended fantastically and those who said we could not close out a game after Saturday just saw how to do it...I'd rather we didn't play like that though...my heart won't stand it.
Hope we take the game to Stoke on saturday now.

Thought Silva and Kompany were magnificent but there is no way we deserved to win that tonight. Pulis will have watched that and be a very confident of getting his revenge. We were terrible.

We didn't deserve it? They only had one good chance. We had about 4 or 5 great chances. As I seen it, we were comfortable letting them have the ball as they simply don't have much craft. I thought we defended with control. We simply held our position and they couldn't find a way through. I also felt that if Spurs scored we would have moved up a gear or two.

The main thing we were missing was an outball.
