This confirms the wastefulness Mancini has been lamenting all season.
I don't think its because our players aren't good enough. What this suggests is a lack of confidence and loss of form. Something seems wrong somewhere and its psychological, I hope it can be resolved soon.
Having said that, I'd have taken 2-1 before this match started.
Good match, special mention to Nasri for his turn around this season.

And once again, Bobbys man management seem to have done the trick - as much as people complain.

Agreed. I am not against Mancini but you have to tailor your management style to fit individuals in your team.
What works for one player may not work for another or the team as a whole.

First half we was great and we should have been more clinical in front of goal, but the second half we just kinda of switched off at times, again we should have had a few more goals, but YaYa's goal was awesome, I thought Nasri put a good effort, and good to see David Silva back on the pitch, I thought Kompany and Lescott was holding Carroll ok during the match untill Hart got injured and we ended up conceding which was frustrating, but anyhow 3pts is 3pts..........well done guys

Three points gained due to the scoring of two top class goals .... that's the bottom line.

We played pretty well in spasms , some of our football was a joy to watch against a resilient West Ham side who showed great spirit throughout , despite having nothing but pride to play for ....

yes , we ought to have had more goals and both Aguero and Nasri really should have converted good chances , whilst the West Ham keeper made a few classy saves ... but another referee could easily have given at least one penalty against Zabaleta , so we can't complain too much.

Zabaleta also booked for retaliating against a rash O'Brien tackle that clearly must have hurt ...

Hart appeared to suffer some kind of injury , probably to his back , and conceded a very poor late goal , but for me he'd looked a bit 'off key' all afternoon , dropping the ball on one or two occasions ...... still , all in all , it's three points and another win to help us towards a second placed finish.

Special mention for Nasri , who's taken some stick on here in recent weeks , he was tremendous today , played very well ...... and so did Lescott in keeping Carroll out until the final minute of the game.

we played poorly again and our play is just sooooo slooooow.

But apart from Andy Carroll they offered absolutely nothing.

If Mancini is around next season he really needs to look at the ponderous tempo of our game. Watching the top European teams City simply don't have the fast tempo of those teams.

In saying that we could have won about 6-1 today. I thought Lescott did very well against Carroll.

Ponderous does get goals though bud.. its the finishing thats let us down..

Just an end of season game with nothing to play for really.

Oh, and fucking empty seats everywhere. Certainly wasn't 47,000 in that stadium today.

Very much so ......

Chelsea would have to win all their remaining games.
