munich played there the match before us, 3 of their fans were stabbed when they got off the train at main station......would nt mind but the germans are harmless,be very careful at train station.........all stick together at port area,do not go walkabouts to little bars.........especially at night......the ultras are out and about on scooters even when not the day of the game..........there was about 200 idiots at the airport after the match being pushed back by the police, the airport is a good half an hour from the ground...........about 200 of us stayed in sorrento which is about an hour away and got a police escort into the ground and to the airport after the game........watch yer arse.........literatly...............

Forgot to mention, the police were 5 yards away when they had a go at us,yet done sweet fa

They are the most cowardly shitbags I've ever come across. They carry blades and look to pick off small groups when they have superior numbers. They have no code, to them all away fans are fair game. Do not walk anywhere, get a taxi. There will definately be Arsenal fans get stabbed at this.

When I went they dropped eveyone at the port at about 1am & it was deserted. We decided to try & walk to the hotel rather than wait around at a deserted port and we got attacked. A lad who was with us got stabbed in his side & was extemely lucky that the blade didn't hit any vital organs. But for an unmarked police car turning up and pulling a gun out, we would have got carved up as about 30 or 40 of them on mopeds tried to pick us off for walking to the hotel.

A Swedish team played there last year and some of their Ultras attacked a pizza restaurant while some away fans were eating dinner and stabbed the owner. When Liverpool played there I heard an elderly man got slashed. They are cunts. Do not take a trip there lightly.

cowardly shitheads

As were the cowards from the 70s that used stanley knives that had a match stick between two blades to make repairs to the skin very difficult......................................and we know who they were.

Those buses that they herded us onto down by the port went halfway to Rome before we got dumped off outside our end in the stadium after almost an hour. I have never seen so many people dive off the buses and piss up against the fences!

It was worse afterwards. They kept us locked in for ages, then stuck us on the buses again - which didn't leave until everyone had got on one of them. They took us all round the houses again and then dropped us all off at the port. The police then cleared off and left everyone to their own devices. The couple of taxis were soon taken, leaving loads of blues to get back to their hotels.

I legged it up one of the main avenues (with a Geordie blue) and got back to my digs about 1.15 in the morning. It was a nervy experience!

There are dodgy areas and dodgy people around Garibaldi Square. Avoid at all costs! But the day afterwards I had a great time exploring the old city and getting a train down the coast.

Makes you wonder what it would be like when Roma, Lazio, Juve or Fiorentina come to town, they truly hate those teams especially Roma.
They dont really hate us, and we treated their fans very well when they came to the Etihad.

To be fair it kicked right off with Napoli at the Etihad so it wasn't like we thought we were best buds and they went on a stabbing spree.

Personally I wouldn't risk going to the San Paolo, just watch it on telly and save the money for an away trip in the Last 16.

Yeah a few lads on the flight from Rome had been stabbed. As others have said it is a free for all as the buses got into the port and there were very few taxis.
We were told when we arrived in the port to stay in the area where there are a few shops, pizza places and bars. Met an older lady that had been in the city centre and got a blade held to her throat so as someone mentioned there is no code as to who they attack.
I personally loved the experience, thought the noise was unreal at the ground and the extent of the police escorts was new to me. Not your typical European away, but a great experience if you keep your wits about you. Yes not for everyone, and I don't condone football violence but I would definitely go back again.
