No reply on twitter so far which tells a story itself. I really liked her as a player and, as you said, she (was) one of our long serving players.Really? You think so? She's long serving as well isn't she? You would think City would've have put something out if she was released? Classless if they haven't bothered. Guess we'll watch this space...
I don't think any of the ladies are anything more than a two year contract and most of those on professional contracts are really on a weekly salary plus a second job working at the club.In an ideal world they would. it's a tad more difficult when a player is on £100+k a week with a number of years left on their contracts though.

I love City and am, clearly, soft on the ladies team but this cutthroat attitude to our homegrown girls is really starting to wear thin with me. For the present I'll blame Cushing for the lack of faith we have been putting in the local girls but, long term, the club need to be more transparent in the comings and goings if they want me to keep following the team.
True looking at the prospective bench for tomorrow it's worrying. Manager has to take the blame for lack of squad depth. You simply can't be two injuries away from problems. Stanway not available, not sure what's up with Beattie on bench and doesn't seem to have been played much in pre season. Potentially looks like only two fit midfielders.
On the squad size we have a squad of 17 when fully fit so it doesnt even reach 20. I certainly would look at the manager for not even making sure it reaches 20. End up having to use reserves who have been messed around this season.
Also Ii wasn't going to mention this but seeing as the youth has been mentioned again this thread, I went down to watch as girls U14 game for City as a they play near but never had a chance to see what the younger sides are up to. They got beat 10-2 but Curzon! I know the result is the end of it at their age but pretty bad. I stood with the parents and got chatting about the senior age groups etc, what struck me is the concern that it appears that City haven't delivered on anything the youth side of it has been promised. If we are to produce younger players then we're not making a good start 3 years into the WSL / Womens project. Someone more senior is to blame.
