'Twill be an antidote to Sunday. How much of an antidote depends on the score, but I doubt that we will see the Women retreating to their penalty area before a fuckin' tackle is made! I think we're gonna miss the two injured lasses - Keira and Megan. The former is a female de Jong and the latter is a feminine version of Andy Morrison.

Well, I thought that was pretty grim. Must be the poorest game I've seen them play. Steph Houghton's was not just a get out of jail goal it saved 'em from transportation to Australia. Two missed pens - one for each. The ref made Crappenberg look world class.

Nothing clicked tonight. I think we missed Izzy C and Keira, although Daphers got PotM. I fear the worst elements of the men's game is infiltrating - sideways passes, doubled, thirty and forty yard passes back to Bardsley when other options are available.

They will need to get a grip for the Arse game on Monday.

But another eleven 1-0's and we'll have emulated Leicester - 12 goals and a 36pt haul!

Sort of agree with that. It was pretty clear from the start that we were the better side and I just expected us to score and go on and win easily but somehow we just seemed to mess up the basics time and time again. The first touch was often poor and simple passes went astray and there was just a lack of quality in the final third which made me start thinking we would never score.

Notts got a penalty on just about the only time they got into our box. That's according to the ref anyway as i thought it was a fould just outside but she fell in. The ref later gavce us one which also might have been outside but as both were missed it didn't matter. It's not that we didn't have chances as we did and could have scored quite a few but most were snatched at and miss hit so their keeper wasn't that tested most of the night. What she did she did well including the penalty save but then she did mess up with Steph's free kick to give us the win and a vital win it was too.

We definitely missed Izzie especially but also Keira. Izzie as she can create and score goials and Keira as if she had played it would have released Daphne further forward where her passing ability andf composure might just have created better opportunities. Daphne played fine but too deep for me to have a real effect on the game. That's down to limited resources with the injuries we had which meant we had nothing but young kids with zero experience on the bench.

Jenni Beatty was shown as a sub but she wasn't really and there was no sign either of Georgia Stanway who I assume is another injury? Is Beatts coming back from an injury as I did see her at the ground? Anyway lots of effort but they really must get that first touch and passing better as a similar effort against one of the good sides and we might be in trouble.
