The people of Russia allow a totalitarian nut job to rule over them and danger world peace. Every effort by the rest of the world should be made to disrupt life in Russia to make them realise this. If banning Russian teams from Europe saves an innocent person in Ukraine from dying it’s a price worth paying.

I know the circumstances are different and I am in no way defending putin/Russia but what if other countries decreed that our invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were wrong and city were banned from Europe?

The problem with your statement is that the "man in the street" in Russia are generally happy with Putin and have no desire to have him removed from power

There were protests in 2020 and 2021 of pissed off Russians led by Alexei Navalni. There is an under current of people there who are not happy whilst Putin pillages their money off them.

The fact that people have been brave enough to go stand in the street and protest in cities across Russia shows where the wind is blowing. The only way Putin is stopped will be from the inside. NATO won’t fire at Russian troops so they are free to keep the tanks rolling into Ukraine and then look at the Baltics next.
