Cheers pal, May be more tickets for City at Celtic. If so a wise move by both clubsWe don't know, but it would seem the most likely reason.

The CL is not that exciting in its early stages.
Groups are boring and are used to guarantee TV companies a certain number of matches involving the big teams. They are not for football reasons. The CL had two group stages for a few years and TV audiences slumped so they scrapped the idea.
The competition should go back to a straight knockout format for maximum crowd excitement.
In any case I see no reason for City fans to pack the stadium uncritically, regardless of the cost of tickets and the importance of the match.
That's what happens across the city where the fans would even turn up to watch the grass grow.
If they had the choice they would reopen the CBL3 over the SSL3I had a tweet back from @ManCityHelp on twitter at 09:54 this morning after I had a winge about it being shut v Celtic, & there response was.....
"If tickets sell out we would possibly reopen sections like we did for Bucharest"

It'll be the full away section then they will open the rest of SS3 if everywhere else looks close to selling outSo SS3 will be closed after all and Celtic are only getting about 1600-1800 tickets then? Yeah right, course they are City! Either that or it's only the normal away section of SS3 that's open and Celtic are getting the bog standard 3000 tickets
You been to Newcastle and Sunderland
