CL Ticket availability

£40 would have been the ideal price.

City must have thought the demand was there.

Sadly it isn't.

It now seems they're shifting tickets for less than £30.

Tut, tut!
where are these £30 tickets

its not £30 mate, they're actually less at £25, they've been doing it to colleges around gtr Manchester since last week and now according to other posts on here they've been offering them to people in the civil service, read back the posts,i think its disgusting idiots like me forked out £99 several weeks ago at £33 a game and they're now doing this allowing some select few in at £25 !!!!!!!!! they know its not right and fair but they're just trying to fill seats, still not right on us that paid weeks ago.

I dont understand how you lot cant get up for the CL, I understand why for this game with the price. Liverpool is the complete opposite best atmosphere and always a sell out at European games, maybe its to do with our history and recent success in it the past 15 years or so.

I also think if you were to add up the cost of watching City per season the past ten years, it must have shot up with these european and cup games a regular thing compared to 5-6 years ago, fans less used to forking out x amount on football, and with other commitments is maybe why

My interest dwindled after watching year after year the elite sky4 cartel rake in millions each season so they could take part in this corrupt competition using the other prem clubs as cannon fodder.
Even now the shoe is on the other foot I'm still not that interested.

Me too, i prefer the Europa competition, it isn't a commercialised rip off like the bent champions league. Yeah I like seeing City mixing it with the elite but as a paying fan, give me the Europa cup any day, especially the away trips!

I'm exactly the same. I hate the fact that the club prioritise this competition over our domestic league. I'm not changing my opinion now just because we're in it. I hate it, all for TV companies. The groups stage is not even a 'draw'... it is like a TV programming schedule.

FC Clunge... 4 groups open, but can ONLY go in with MUFC... Bate Borisov, 3 Groups open but can only go with Barca. Borrusia Dortmund (German Champs at time) seeded 4th!!!... 3 groups open, but can only go with Real Madrid, MCFC & Ajax... WHY? bent as fuck!

I'll still be there tomorrow though...

Yes, it's contrived commercialism with "win at all costs" attitudes from most of the clubs. Look out for diving and gamesmanship left, right and centre. Any tackle that is made results in a yellow card too. It's all the worst things about modern day football rolled up and inserted up our arses. Having said that, I am on the cup scheme for this. I'd love to see us do well in it obviously but I'm never really arsed when we get knocked out.

I find no reason other than "looking after the elite" to allow 8 teams who have not qualified to the knock out stage to enter the Europa competition.

loads of tickets left in the colin bell upper, plus tickets in many other block around the ground.

no need to make the stadium any bigger at these prices.

I've bought the bundle but can't help think City have misjudged this massively.

As it stands, there are thousands left to shift.

Although it might appear ingenious marketing to force the attractive games to be sold with the less attractive, I have a real fear that there is a chance now that the Bayern game may not even sell out.

There just isn't the money floating about that bundle sales require. If City leave it too late to go to individual sales for the Bayern game I expect many fans could have decided to spend their money elsewhere and watch from their armchair.

Now don't take this as a whinge, and I know at £99 for 3 European games is value, but asking fans to shell £99 if they only can make or afford 1 game is not as fan friendly as it could be.

agree that this plan is a mistake. according to the ticket office online there are at least 100 spare seats in my block alone (240).
completely understand what the club is trying to do and cannot argue that £99 is fantastic value if you are intending to see all three games but coming hot on the heels of ST direct debit, carling cup etc the timing is misjudged.

Piss poor City.........as you obviously don't place any particular value on my 30 years or so as a ST/SC holder I'm now watching all 3 on TV...............well done........who knows, I could get used to it and save myself a fortune.......

Feeling even more comfortable with my ( and many others I know) decision here.

Massivley disappointed in the club I've followed all my life though.

Could have been worse having seen the state of sales 3-4 days ago. The fact they have opened one of the northern corners means sales aren't that awful. Tourists might help fill the rest of the seats tomorrow.

I know not everyone can afford every game but thought with this being the 1st home game of the campaign and it being against the current holders which makes it our glamour game of the group, thought we might have sold out. I dread to think what the attendances will be for yhe lesser teams.

I personally think the prices are too high, especially of you have paid for a season ticket and are in the cup schemes.
