Why does the BBC need a programme about cars anyway?

They don't have ones about electric irons, chairs, bath tubs or buses, and they are just everyday items of practical usefulness like cars.

Just because a few pipe and slipper types think cars are exciting isn't really a good enough reason for a special programme about them.

One of the bbc biggest shows and one of the most watched ratings wise right? So if that is true then I guess that is way, If any show is a ratings success then they will keep with it but I'm with you don't see the point to the show at all.

Yep, I have my favorite TV Shows as well but at the risk of a ban through having truly horrible taste in TV Shows I shall keep any future criticisms to myself.

They have programmes about old stuff, well off people moving house, auctions, allotments, sewing, car boot sales etc.

Money talks, Top Gear is licensed to every man and his dog. The BBC will come up with a solution sharpish.
Would be funny if Clarkson walked out anyway and straight to another chan with the TG brand (if he can).

I do not love or hate him, i just think it would be funny to see play out.

This is absolutely the best thing about Clarkson, his ability to send the easily offended into a frenzy. Which he does regularly meaning the soft cocks get more and more offended. It's hilarious knowing he's doing it just to troll them.
