Clarkson Suspended by BBC

No, they're just showing the films that weren't broadcast from the remaining episodes of the last series, with May and Hammond doing some to camera bits in between. No Clarkson other than in the pre-recorded films.

Ah right cheers Joe

I understand he's doing his first real interview on TFI Friday tomorrow night. Richard Hammond seems a nice enough bloke but the other two are a pair of wankers.

Although it was always planned by the Beeb to put these films out as a one off with links already recorded by May and Hammond whilst Clarkson was suspended before not having his contract renewed it does look like a desperate act. Its billed as Top Gear " only on the BBC " because quite clearly they have lost ground to Dave's wall to wall repeats but fact is its a one off lash up of unused bits not a new series.

BUT they have got themselves in a pickle - Clarkson will be back on the BBC - shock horror !! What if it goes down really well - there will be a clamour for the Beeb to relent - meanwhile the TG Trio will resurface on Nextflix or somewhere and Classic TG will be all over Dave. Then in these choppy waters will be launched the new Top Gear with the new presenter team.

I cannot for the life of me think why a broadcaster would get involved in that - talk about a hiding to nothing !!!

If the BBC are saying it's ok to appoint a man who assulted a producer over hot food then they're setting a truly worrying precedent. Jeremy Clarkson is a tosser. An arrogant, rude, middle Englander who has made a fortune by appealing to the lowest common denominator. He belongs on Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 and not a viewings hit on BBC.

Chris Evans is a far more interesting character. As too Danny Baker. Genuine men of the people.

Yet they are keen to promote the fact he is back on BBC2 with his ever popular Top Gear programme. Interesting.

I do think people have confused the caricatures of themselves that the TG presenters crafted with what they may have been like in real life.

2bh, I think Clarkson has done that and that's why he's got in so much trouble.

Bump

Clarkson and the Beeb being sued for racial discrimination by former top gear producer, apparently because of "Irish insults" how long has Irish been a race, I'm English but it's not what race I am, or is it I'm confused now.

I read something about Chris Evans too, apparently he's an egotistical wanker too. Can see Top Gear dying a slow painful death.
