Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Thought of one more U.D.O, I’m not a big fan of Accept or Udo solo, but think the UDO album last year was better than the Accept one.

U.K
2 albums, didn’t like the first the second album is a good one.
I dropped UK out of my Top 15 at the last minute.
I too prefer the Danger Money album when they went down to a three piece.
The track “The Only thing she Needs “ is a brilliant piece of prog rock.
Eddie Jobson is a great keyboard player/Violinist and I wish he had done more music. Jobson almost joined Yes around the “West” period and that would have been a dream signing for me.
Terry Bozzio too a brilliant drummer and who can forget John Wetton.
The live album “Night after Night” is also great.

As the A - Z continues on the music thread for those with good taste, we arrive at U, which doesn't give us many options, at least not from my catalogue:

U2 – Irish boy band

UFO – Out of this world hard rockers.

Ugly Kid Joe – America’s least wanted metallers.

Ultravox – Slick synth rock.

Upp – Jeff Beck produced their first album of funky fusion.

Uriah Heep – Very ‘eavy, very ‘umble.

Utopia – Todd Rundgren’s prog backing band.

UFO are my favourites out of that lot. A band I defined away from after their late 70's early 80's heyday until a few short years ago and have since frantically acquired their latter releases, which are good.

Of course, nothing can surpass their Strangers in the Night live album, with Michael Schenker on guitar; except that is the box set version with the full gigs that they culled from.

I've recounted a few times my stories of "meeting" UFO on the road in California in 1981 so won't repeat them here but they are a special band for me. Did see them live on their last UK tour and they still delivered the goods.

Fun fact, apparently (lead singer) Phil Mogg and Schenker occasionally bump into one another in Morrissons on Brighton these days.

Another band who I've been into buying recently is Uriah Heep: I never owned their early David Byron albums but I am now one short. Interesting band.

I must also confess that I have most if not all of U2's albums and have seen them a few times in concert.
Nice One @OB1

I’ve missed a few letters, too late now. UFO my brother used to be well into.
