Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

The top 4 are very twangy and Americana-based. I almost feel guilty posting that list in this thread.

Billy Strings is an interesting one - progressive bluegrass!

Don't mind a little bit of Bluegrass; even went to see Steve Earle when he toured here with the Del McCoury Band.

I suppose a prefer Country / Americana that doesn't have too much twang!

As a Yes fan , have you not heard Transatlantic ? They do long albums, and while I wouldn’t say they sound like Yes, there is plenty in their albums that I think a Yes / old school prog fan would like.
Yes I remember listening to their first album due to Portnoy and Stolt being there.
I don’t doubt the musicianship but I found it too long and meandering for me.
I am not sure if that is a fair reflection though.

Too long is a fair criticism. My favourite of theirs is Kaleidoscope, a bit more variety on it. The mew Absolute universe has 2 versions maybe try the abridged shorter one. Though it isnt just a shorter version there are different arrangements and lyrics on it and a song that isn’t on the longer version.
Don’t think the first is the best one.

Train are about the best I can manage. A few decent albums but wouldn't put them in my top 50.
