Did we expect anything else?

What are you on. Did you know before today we never lost in the Prem with us as the Ref. What was he supposed to do with Boyata give him a cuddle and tell him its okay!
Kompany fouled whoever it was so it was a nailed on penalty.

For me it was just the Denilson jumping in 2 footed at chin height he got wrong but thats it really
If you re-read my OP it was a question, NOT, my opinion....

he had a good game, the sending off and penalty were both right, he was strong and made mostly the right decisions.

Sorry guys but his reputation and the blue blindness has lead to some of the ridiculous grief he was getting all game, it was frankly ludicrous.

Move on to the next game, we caused our own downfall with rash challenges today.

Bang on the money mate with that.

Yep, he didn't do much wrong in my eyes. 3-0 flattered them but 10 men for 85 minutes is always an uphill task, particularly against Arsenal.

Re: Clattenberg..

No common sense applied by Clattenberg. 4 minutes gone should have merited only a yellow. Wasnt dangerous play and probably not a goalscoring opportunity.
most refs wouldnt have given it but our bad luck was we got the one that did

Re: Clattenberg..

my 4 year old said on the way out hes gonna phone the police, when i asked why he said because the referee was shit! (hes never said shit before!)

Re: Clattenberg..

Not seen the sending off since getting back from the game but my wife assures me it was a sending off. Two ways for us to go, feel sorry for ourselves and be rather pathetic ( think Newcastle and Blackpool ) or learn the lessons. Our defenders have to be a lot smarter than to hack down an attacker in that position 5 minutes into the match.

Re: Clattenberg..

Clattenberg was a disgrace today. The **** booked blue after blue, but failed to book fabregas for a second time. Song ran straight into vinnie and vinnie gets booked! Anyone who says he had a good game is either in the 3rd tier or on a dodgy stream. Yes, the pen was a pen, but a straight red for his FIRST FUCKING TACKLE. Clattenberg i hope you die on the way home.

-- Sun Oct 24, 2010 7:23 pm --

Clattenberg was a disgrace today. Re: Clattenberg..

Anyone who turned a blind eye to the referee performances for us against Newcastle and Blackpool can't really complain about Tw@ttenberg. Newcastle and Blackpool were fooked over by bad officiating that benefited us too. Both penalties today were justified but Tw@ttenberg did favour them in the general "50/50" type scenario.

Re: Clattenberg..

I don't know if the sending off was a sending off because I had just turned to speak to the person in the row behind me, but there were many challenges from the Arsenal players that they got away with. HOWEVER, when you hear the Arsenal fans, as you are walking back to your car, chanting: "What a lovely referee" you do begin to wonder!!

Anyway, it is one match, we have the rest of the season to go and the players gave 110%, every single one of them, they never gave up and that is all I ask. If their heads had gone down and they hadn't given their all then I would have been more disappointed. As it is I can cope with one defeat. Onward and upward!!

What a fantastic sensible post! I wish this thread would end with this post.
